A-Trak and Tommy Trash’s funk phenomenon “Lose My Mind” gets a high-powered remix courtesy of OWSLA-approved upstart Mija. She stays true to the original track’s feel-good strut (and cowbell!) while adding her own supercharged thump and awesome vocal chops, making this mix an absolute must-have for dance freaks and party people worldwide.
A-Trak and Tommy Trash “Lose My Mind” might be the funkiest track FG’s ever released. But did you know that French production hero Alex Gopher was the song’s secret weapon mix engineer? It’s a musical tidbit the guys are understandably proud of – and to help share it with you, Trizzy hit up the man himself for a little background on his musical roots, favorite synths, mixdown tricks and more. (For even more FG x AG action, peep his remix work on Kid Sister’s “Get Fresh” single from back in ’08.) Read on! Read More
Black Dave is NYC personified, a fixture in the music and skate worlds whose presence keeps the underground as lit as humanly possible. Fresh from ripping the stage at Fool’s Gold DAY OFF (and his Thrasher-approved part in Zoo York’s bone-crushing viral skate video NYBD), Black Dave drops his first official release on FG in the form of “Hangover,” produced by Nick Catchdubs. It’s the opening salvo from their collab EP of the same name, a collection of bass anthems and turn up tales from the city that never sleeps.
To ensure the safest event for our fans, we’re moving Fool’s Gold DAY OFF from Miami’s Wynwood district to a new venue, Revolution Live in Ft. Lauderdale (100 SW 3rd Ave). Advance tickets are available at fgdayoff.com, and all previously purchased tickets will be honored.
LA’s Madeaux and ATL’s ManMan Savage join forces for the mesmerizing “Pull Up,” taken from their eponymous EP (out 9/23). “Get money” motivation gone Aeon Flux, this is not for the faint of heart nor small speakers.
“Submerged” is the first taste of GEOTHEORY’s Tales Untold EP, an awesome hybrid of trap horns, screwed house basslines and flute riffs. Listen now and stay tuned for more from this one-of-a-kind NYC talent on his debut Fool’s Gold release.
DAY OFF NYC is tomorrow! Don’t get caught without tickets for Migos, Juelz Santana, A-Trak & Friends, Lil Yachty and many, many, MANY more! Peep the set times below and get the last remaining tix at fgdayoff.com. We’ll see you on the east side at the 34th St Heliport, rain or shine!
Hoodboi’s summer jam “Closer” featuring ASTR is the gift that keeps on giving! The original track’s emotional choruses and technicolor sound palette get beautifully bent on three prismatic new remixes. Soundcloud sensation Kid Froopy delivers ADD funk on his slowed-down and chopped-up take, Kende provides his signature Swiss beats, and Hoodboi himself reworks “Closer” into an uber-melodic, uptempo “Moonrise mix” that races like the best video game soundtrack you’ve never heard.
Spend a day in the life of LNDN DRGS with their new visual for “2 Brand New Phones” and “Hurt My Hand.” Jay Worthy and friends (Aston Matthews, Earl Swavey & the BornxRaised crew) bop through house parties and hit the telly with baddies while street-level funk from Burnout 2 blasts from the speakers. This is party music for the people… play loud and ride out. Download the Burnout series for free at smarturl.it/burnoutbundle.
With their massive DAY OFF NYC show only a few days away, Fool’s Gold founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs take PYRITE RADIO to a new level of jams and jokes. The duo hit FG’s Brooklyn store to tackle society’s pressing issues: bootleg Seinfeld merch, LA dating, Gucci Mane’s pantry, whether or not The Killers were any good, stealing snacks from will.i.am, and of course, Juicero™. Tune in and get loose. (Shout to Pedro on the vibes and Ysa Perez on the snaps!)
