Brenmar is the club. This bass music chameleon has soundtracked some of the best nights of our lives with sets that expertly travel from Jersey to Chicago and beyond, connecting the dots between hip-hop, R&B and all manner of futuristic house music production. His aptly titled Award EP (out 1/20 on Fool’s Gold) is more than a victory lap for a nightlife champion, but the start of an awesome new chapter, melding songwriting chops atop years of body-moving DJ knowledge. From 808 slow jams to confetti-ready anthems, Award is a four-track collection of earworms featuring voices from the underground (Newark’s Dougie F and UNiiQU3) and radio (Jeremih collaborator Sayyi) alike.
Our NYC fam Brenmar is heading down under this month! Peep his full OZ itinerary after the jump, and listen to his new remix of ASTR’s “Blue Hawaii” and original loosie “We Rollin” feat. Rome Fortune and Lil Uzi Vert to get in the mood.

FG co-founder Nick Catchdubs takes center stage with new single “Wuts That,” a trapped-out blast of knucklehead funk, laced with tongue-twister verses from Bronx gremlins B.I.C. (Bitches Is Crazy) following in the grand tradition of rap troublemakers from Tha Alkaholiks to A$AP Mob. Stream it now at The Fader and grab it on iTunes next Tuesday (9/16) backed with an uptempo remix from Australian breakbeat whiz Kraymer.
“Wuts That” sets the stage for Nick’s debut album Smoke Machine (out on FG in January ’15), an anything-goes collection of gleeful club collabs and oddball beats featuring guest spots from IAMSU, Heems, Troy Ave, MNDR, Roach Gigz and more.
Nick and B.I.C. will be performing live at Webster Hall on Friday, 9/19 for the “Wuts That” release party, and you can also see Catchdubs with Fool’s Gold family and friends at our massive Fools’ Gold DAY OFF events in Los Angeles (10/12), Atlanta (11/11) and Miami (12/7).
Oliver are dance music’s funkiest space explorers. Their muscular, gleaming tunes swap EDM neon for airbrushed chrome, re-imagining the highways of Los Angeles as one long cosmic on-ramp. They follow up their Fool’s Gold debut Mechanical with the supremely confident Light Years Away (Out TOMORROW 9/9!) , a two-track EP showcasing the duo at their absolute best. The title track struts with a low-slung boogie, while “Fast Forward” takes off on a technicolor rocket of pulsing buildups and Daft-worthy solos. Light Years Away is one small step for man, one giant leap for the groove…
