LA Riots’ latest remix (for Crystal Castles’ “Crimewave”) finally, but rather than tossing the internets a mere mp3 leak, they decided to go for the gusto and drop this full DJ mix containing 11 of their biggest remixes to date (including their take on Kid Sister’s “Control” and their recent N.A.S.A. flip). They are generous lads! Download it here and check for Vol 2 in a few weeks.

The second and most recent mix (curated by your faithful author) for the ever prolific homie Justin. Download it here.
In his own words, “There is no theme. There is no genre distinction. There is no big plan. There are only people and the music they like sharing for everyone to enjoy.” For anyone interested in listening and/or submitting, please visit STTEOTW. (via myself at REUP Mag)

Last week I started a new weekly in Brooklyn called FLASHING LIGHTS with my main d’amies DJ Ayres and Jubilee. The first one featured Klever as a special guest and was fun as hell (pics here), but I forgot to post the flyer on the FG blog beforehand. D’oh! Never again! The next few editions are going to be just as dope, and to go along with it, the three of us whipped together this promo mix featuring some of the tunes we’re dropping at the party – which is FREE every Friday night @ Public Assembly on North 6th St in Brooklyn (aka the old Galapagos). Download the mix here and check the tracklist after the jump. Read More

Right-click, save-as, rock out. More to come from the TS lab very soon, keep checking for the latest news and tourdates over on his MySpace. And if you haven’t copped the full “Cross The Dancefloor” single yet…

To coincide with a “Vinyl Archaeology” article they penned for the latest issue of The Fader, our own Nacho Lovers are sharing some of their favorite acieeeeeeeeed jams with you. Says Fistfight: “Here is a mini mix of some Acid house tracks we love. A few classics, a few lesser known or under-appreciated gems, and a few great acid tracks that aren’t 10+ years old.” Download it here, check tracklist after the jump, and read their article in the latest issue of the mag (Busy Signal and Tough Alliance on the cover). That’s not Kid Sister or Pase Rock, it is a Popeye’s Chicken Burrito
You might know FG friend Tittsworth from his club remixes (and break records!), or his impromptu stint as Kid Sister’s hypeman on the Good Vibrations tour in Australia. Now you can add “solo artist” to the mix, since he has a debut album coming out next Tuesday called 12 Steps on Plant Music. Kid Sis returns the favor by guesting on his single “WTF” alongside Pase Rock, and you can grab the “WTF” mp3 (and read a quick Q&A with Tittsworth about the making of the album) over at the Fader blog.
