Our friends Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia are continuing to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their legendary radio show: first there was the reunion broadcast that set the internets on fire, now there’s a one-night-only event at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge this Thursday (2/10), co-hosted by the inimitable Lord Sear and promising a bevy of “very special surprise guests.” You don’t want to miss this one, buy your advance tickets now!
We’re proud to lend a hand in toasting Stretch and Bob with an exclusive Fool’s Gold tee, designed by Dust La Rock. Thursday’s show is going to be the first place you can purchase this shirt, which comes in bold black and orange on white, and an extra-limited heather grey colorway. Hip-hop must haves! Our friends at Downtown are gearing up to celebrate their five-year anniversary. One night of revelry isn’t going to cut it though, so they’ve whipped up the Downtown Music Festival: Friday, March 4th with our own A-Trak and The Suzan representing, followed by a night at Terminal 5 on Saturday, March 5th featuring folks like Major Lazer, DJ Mehdi and Santigold.
You’re in for a bonanza of goodies from the man with the golden hands today. First up, RCRD LBL presents a download of Treasure Fingers’ remix of Senor Stereo’s “I Am The Beat” feat. Louisahhh (out now on Slow Roast).
This remix featured prominently on TF’s recent mix for JJJ Radio in Australia, which you can download here – right click, save as, and jam out to a collection of TF originals, remixes and new favorites (and the dulcet toned voiceovers of JJJ host Nina Las Vegas).
The JJJ mix is timed with Treasure Fingers’ upcoming tour dates, which kick off tomorrow (1/21) in Byron Bay, Australia and takes him all over the continent, then to Asia, back to the states, off to Europe, and back home again for SXSW, all in the course of two months. Check the full dates after the jump (or on our handy events calendar). Read More
