This past Friday we had our 2nd annual Fool’s Gold holiday jam. Even with a NYC blizzard in full effect all day, the true believers came out to party with the FG fam and our special guests DJ Premier and Cipha Sounds. Kid Sister and Trackademicks cut it up on the dancefloor, Daniel LA Riots and Linus JOTS were spotted with Pepsi-n-Hennessy coctails in hand, Primo dropped “Hold It Now Hit It,” and a festive time was had by all. (Dust swears he saw Macaulay Culkin in the mix but I don’t believe him he needs more people).
Check out Ian Meyer’s gallery of party pics here, and some Trackademicks snapshots here. As a bonus beat, watch some interview footage John Brown (“KingOfDaBurbz”!) was filming at the party on his Flipcam.

Last month a bunch of the FG fam went out on the road to celebrate the release of our Fool’s Gold Remixed compilation with Scion. And now we finally got all the pics back (save for the Philly date, I blame Andy Reid…) and can share em with you after the jump.
Stay tuned for a limited edition vinyl 12″ of selected tracks from the comp, and look for copies at various Fool’s Gold and Scion events throughout the rest of this year and next. And if you can’t track the CD down, cop the remixes from your favorite digital retailer. Now onto the recap-ery! Read More

Bussed it over to the Izod Center in Jersey last night to check out Nine Inch Nails. I’m not a stadium rock dude by any means but sometimes you gotta go for it. Arriving shortly before the end of Does It Offend You, Yeah?‘s opening set which was audibly forgettable to say the least, I took the opportunity to grab some tasty chicken fingers (Meadowlands Mustard!), fries, and a $8 Budweiser (totally expensable right guys?). Remember the epic Fool’s Gold x Dim Mak North American tour from this past spring? We were armed with one of The Cobra Snake’s extra cameras (I shall call it “The Rattler”) during the whole trip, but after everything wrapped, the pics mysteriously disappeared. Until today! Steve just sent us this link to check the recent vintage tour snaps over at the Snake. As a bonus, check our tour diaries (originally published on thefader.com) after the jump. Read More

This picture comes to us directly from our very own Daniel LeDisko, spotted on a train in Norway. What’s on in Oslo? Me, that’s what. Umm, wrong, unfortunately. I had to cancel my Scandinavian dates about 2 weeks ago. Sorry! I guess no one informed the railway service.
