Whether you wanna call it WMC, Ultra or Miami Music Week… you know how Fool’s Gold duz it! For the third year running we were back at Grand Central, with the whole fam making you dance. Check out “DJ Canada” rocking alongside Jacques Lu Cont, Just Blaze, Congorock, Treasure Fingers, Style Of Eye, LA Riots, Flosstradamus, Jokers Of The Scene, Nick Catchdubs, Fifteenth and surprise guests Annie Mac and Vega (not to mention the Peachfuzz crew keeping it live upstairs with Craze, DJ Soul and other guests). Musics!
A few weeks ago we ran through Austin for two mega parties during SXSW: a label showcase at the brand new Beauty Ballroom, and a team-up Super Party with Mad Decent and Check Yo Ponytail that took over BB as well as the giant Emo’s East down the street. Suffice it to say… shit got live!
From A$AP (and Sammy Bananas!) stagedives to A-Trak’s big-room scratchery, these were parties none of us will forget. Check out our recap video of both nights above, along with photos from our in-house shutterbug Josh Wehle (as well as a CYP’s full cinema-style featurette on Super Party) after the jump. Read More
The Echoplex was the place to be last month, with the Fool’s Gold crew taking over the Check Yo Ponytail party for a night of raps, revelry and BRUISER MOTHERFUCKIN BRIGADE! Danny Brown headlined a night that also featured Kid Sister (backed by Sinden and J2K of Flosstradamus), Main Attrakionz, Party Supplies and Thee Mike B. Check out Spin’s gallery of shots by Nathaniel Turner, a bunch of Shadowscene flicks, video of Schoolboy Q coming out for “Blunt After Blunt,” as well as a megacollection of photos and videos from our homie Glenjamn! Peep more from him after the jump.
If that’s not enough, check the party on NBC tonight when Danny makes his network television debut on Last Call With Carson Daly, airing tonight (well, Thursday morning if you want to get technical) at 1:35 am after Jimmy Fallon. Set them TiVOs. Read More
The Fool’s Gold x LTD Holiday Party last month (time flies!) was another one for the books, a hyperactive affair featuring music from Texas hero OG Ron C, Just Blaze, The Brothers Macklovitch and Nick Catchdubs, Danny Brown in formalwear and moshing A$APs galore.
A-Trak played Madison Square Garden with Swedish House Mafia and Jacques Lu Cont, the first ever all-DJ performance at the legendary venue. Check the recap video to see what went down, and be sure to check Kirill Was Here’s photo gallery from the night. (Shout to Josh Wehle on the footage and Mikey Van Beuren on the edit!)
WHAT! WHAT! WHAT! WHAT! WHAT! We celebrated four years of label-dom last month with NORE, A-Trak, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Party Supplies, Mr Muthafuckin Exquire (with Plain Pat on the wheels), Chase N Cashe, Cubic Zirconia, Nick Catchdubs, LUMIDEE (?!?), DJ Ayres, Jim E-Stack, Michna, and all of y’all who packed two floors of the Tribeca Grand. Last week we threw our second annual DAY OFF party in New York City, joined by a few thousand of our friends. Like the last one, only bigger and crazier, it was an amazing day and night, featuring performances from Juicy J, Danny Brown, the Brothers Macklovitch (A-Trak and Dave1), Just Blaze, Cubic Zirconia, Party Supplies, Nick Catchdubs and very special guests ASAP Rocky and DJ Mehdi.
Check out Party Supplies and Danny Brown stunting with some felines in the new 10.Deep lookbook, complete with video (peep after the jump) and see them both rocking at DAY OFF this Monday.
