Posted on Nov 25th, 2011

Food Gold editor and longtime FG homebro Elliot Aronow just dropped off a bunch of his Our Show zines at the shop, featuring all kind of print media goodness: interviews with the likes of Eddie Huang and Diplo, Nick Zinner photoessays, recipies, even a centerfold (super hot in that American Apparel kinda way). We’re giving them away free with purchases while supplies last, but you can also cop direct from Elz for $5 postpaid, just email the man.

Independent Label Market Brooklyn

Posted on Oct 5th, 2011

This Saturday (10/8) come hit the Fool’s Gold booth at the Independent Label Market in Brooklyn, where we’ll be selling vinyl, CDs, tees, merch and more alongside our buds from DFA, 4AD, XL, Domino and many more.

“Will there be special goods and surprises” you ask? Why certainly. By popular demand, we pressed up a bunch of 12″s people have been asking us for: Congorock “Babylon” with remixes by Proxy and Riton, Treasure Fingers “Keep Up” with remixes by Kenny Dope and Jackson, and KLAM (aka rave legends Kicks Like A Mule) “Funky 4” with remixes by Hot City and the Martin Brothers. The one and only Party Supplies is going to stop by with his MPC. Keeping with the theme of label heads slanging their own wares, Nick Catchdubs will be manning the booth all day. And more…

To get you in the mood, check out this playlist of tracks from the participating labels. Cubic Zirconia is repping for FG with “Take Me High.”
