Pop locker turned producer Brillz went from dancing at parties to soundtracking them himself, merging hip-hop funkiness with megaton EDM firepower for a sound that’s as unique as it is undeniably body moving. He’s spent the past few years immersed in the Downtown Los Angeles dance revival, whipping up remixes for the likes of superstars Kill The Noise and Zedd and crafting DJ hits like summer trap anthem “Swoop.”
He makes his full-length debut on Slow Roast next Tuesday (3/26) with TWONK. The ten track LP is is Brillz’ most accomplished work yet, powered by overdriven 808 kicks, rachet baselines and a welcome sense of humor. But don’t take our word for it, just check out this preview mix by the one and only Craze!
