FG co-founder Nick Catchdubs busts out with “Bizness,” featuring trailblazing Bay Area MCs IAMSU! and Jay Ant, and ravey remixes from Astronomar and ETC!ETC! Get it now on iTunes, Beatport and everywhere else fine digital music is sold, and stay tuned for more on Nick’s upcoming Smoke Machine LP.
Nick partnered with alt comedy network JASH for the “Business” music video. Directed by Scott Jacobson and starring a hysterical cast from The Mighty Boosh, Strangers With Candy, Nathan For You and Bob’s Burgers, this office space visit takes rap video absurdity to awesome new heights. Your PowerPoint presentation will never be the same…
MySpace sat with El-P, Killer Mike and director Tim Saccenti to get the lowdown on how the gleefully violent music video for Run The Jewels’ “36” Chain” came together. Check it out and get the RTJ album (and more!) at foolsgoldrecs.com/runthejewels.
The Fool’s Gold Festival Stage kicked off a new year of all-singing, all-dancing partytimes deep in the woods of Michigan. FG’s contribution to the Electric Forest featured A-Trak, Danny Brown, Flosstradamus, Oliver, Just Blaze, Craze, Nick Catchdubs, Treasure Fingers and Party Supplies on the same stage, an all-day display of awesomeness captured in the video above.
The new Run The Jewels video for “36” Chain” is equal parts Charles Bronson in Death Wish and LL Cool J circa “I’m Bad” as El and Mike brutally (and questionably) fight to rescue their furry, demented companion, Mr Killums. Andrew WK, Amber Tamblyn and more partake in this heartwarming tale of friendship, family values and redemption.
