Bounce thru Bompton with LNDN DRGS in their new video for “Susan.” Premiered on Noisey, the day-in-the-life clip is a perfect snapshot of the buzzing underground duo’s freewheeling take on G-Funk, and first visual off their upcoming free Fool’s Gold album Aktive.
Premiered on Billboard, Black Atlass’ unique and delicate “Haunted Paradise” now has a beautiful, dreamlike music video courtesy of director Tyler Ross. By pairing the striking voice of Alex Fleming (the young singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist behind Black Atlass) with an equally indelible visual, the “Haunted Paradise” clip creates it’s own hazy kind of magic. This is the first in a trilogy of new singles from Fleming, with more to follow in the coming months on Fool’s Gold. Listen to “Haunted Paradise” and stay tuned for more from Black Atlass!
Bow down to High Klassified, Fool’s Gold’s own bass lord and style king. The Montreal producer raised on 808s and RPGs takes his sound to weird new heights on the Kronostasis EP (out 10/23), picking up where last years auspicious debut Palindroma (“Sounds like anime looks” – Noisey) left off. “Okarina Of Time” and “Saccade Two” bookend the EP with double doses of 64-bit turn up, while “Saccade One” and “Gold” (featuring Chicago rising star Mick Jenkins) bring out a heady, jazzy side to HK that we’ve never heard before. Yet nowhere is High Klassified’s singular swag more evident than “Time In Vain,” and its creepy, cheeky must-see video. Kronostasis is where futuristic slaps meet one-of-a-kind personality: play it loud, follow HK on Snapchat (trust us), and stay tuned for more. Pre-order Kronostasis now!
Hailing from San Marcos, Texas (but claiming “the internet” as their true birthplace), BROCKHAMPTON are not your average rap group. Don’t even call them one to begin with: “The All American Boy Band” is how Kevin Abstract, JOBA, Ameer Vann, Matt Champion, Dom McLennon, Rodney Tenor, and Merlyn Wood describe this one-of-a-kind crew.
After winning the VFILES LOUD! competition with their offbeat style and boundless energy, BROCKHAMPTON dropped the “Dirt” single on Fool’s Gold, enthusiastically premiered by Ebro (“Bring that back to the top… I like this!”) on his Beats1 radio show. Now, the maniacally fun “Dirt” gets an equally bugged-out video, directed by Tyler Mitchell and executive produced by VFILES. Taking place at a surreal, slo-mo photo shoot, the “Dirt” video captures BROCKHAMPTON’s camaraderie and next-level appeal IRL. Listen to “Dirt” now!
Ten minutes into Go To Hell And Chill and she gives you this look… Nick Catchdubs and Showyousuck bug out and battle demons from the comfort of their living room in this extra-trippy clip for “Drop,” directed by Matt Kliegman (aka STEAMCLAM) and premiered today on The Fader. Check more dank jams on Nick’s Smoke Machine album (featuring collabs with the likes of IAMSU, Troy Ave, Heems and MNDR) and look out for the More Smoke remix EP next week (10/9) with dance-y takes on Smoke Machine cuts from Buku, Slowbody, Udachi and more!
