The Fool’s Gold Artist Series in-stores give us a chance to turn our store into a gallery, show off some new work and exclusive items from talent curated by FG art director Dust La Rock, and invite everyone to come and hang.
Following exhibitions from Cody Hudson and JK5, Daniel Albrigo and HAZE, the latest creations to grace our walls come from Grotesk, who will be displaying a collection of brand new mixed media pieces (check his Instagram for some work-in-progress teasers).
Come through to the opening on Friday, March 2nd from 7-9pm at the FG store on 536 Metropolitan Ave in Brooklyn. Artist will be in attendance, refreshments will be served, and limited edition shirts featuring Grotesk’s art will be available for purchase. It’s a hypnotic burst of chopped club music: echo chamber snare hits, endlessly rolling tom toms and the craziest vocal-as-synthesizer since Ferris stole a Ferrari to the tune of Yello’s “Oh Yeah.” But Bueller never jacked his body like THIS! “Voices” comes backed by the pulverizing “Hot Signal” (imagine “Voices”‘ chain smoking, Gesaffelstein-loving older brother), and the dreamy thump of “Decoder,” making for one of FG’s most exciting and techno-friendly releases to date.
