Bay Area illustrator Niv Bavarsky creates alternate universes with ink and pixels, mixing loopy, detailed hand-drawn strokes with bold textures and dreamlike bursts of color. His imaginative approach brings a welcome hit of trippiness to mainstream outlets like the New York Times and ESPN, and runs completely wild on record sleeves and flyers for Fool’s Gold and throughout Niv’s prolific personal output.
Fool’s Gold is proud to present Niv’s debut solo exhibition as part of the Fool’s Gold Artist Series, taking place this Thursday, May 16th, from 7-9pm at the label’s retail store on 536 Metropolitan Ave in Brooklyn. Artist will be in attendance, refreshments will be served, and original art will be available for sale, along with limited-edition Artist Series shirts.
