The latest FOOLCAST features nothing but productions from Cardo, the peerlessly funky young producer who helped craft Wiz Khalifa’s smoked out sound on the beloved Kush & OJ and Taylor Allderdice mixtapes, and is gearing up to release his debut Fool’s Gold EP, Everything I$ Gold.
Cardo’s production resume reads like a Who’s Who of hip-hop’s rising stars, and his FOOLCAST shows off 90 minutes of our favorites from his discography. It’s equal parts gangsta soul music, futuristic synthesizer trips, and unstoppable 808 bump, an awesomely region-less hybrid inspired by DJ Quik and Pimp C classics but rightfully belonging to one dude alone… Cardo on the beat!
A boy becomes a man like never before to the tune of Style Of Eye’s “Ray Dee Oh,” featuring Gina Turner. Mazel tov! “Ray Dee Oh” is out now on iTunes, Beatport, and everywhere else fine digital music is sold. Get it…

The response to A-Trak’s “Money Makin’” DJ routine was so positive that he’s turning it into a regular scratch series, called Short Cuts. The latest track to get wicki wicki’d is none other than Deadmau5′s “Ghosts N’ Stuff.” Timely!
Food Gold host Elliot Aronow took Ariel Pink (whose new album Mature Themes is out now) to Jack’s Wife Freda in SoHo to whip up some schnitzel in chef Zach Frankel’s kitchen. As with all things Pink, the results were appropriately fried. Watch this video and check what to do / what not to do when cooking your own thin n’ crispy chicken. Lasst uns essen!
For more Elliot in yer life, check the party for his Our Show zine at Soho Grand next Tuesday, August 28th. Music by Black Spaceship (Cosmo Baker & Prince Language), details on Facebook, and copies of the zine in our webstore.
Danny Brown’s collaboration with dynamic duo Evil Nine, “The Black Brad Pitt” is out now on Brodinski’s eponymous Bromance imprint. Check it out on iTunes, Beatport and all other digital retailers, backed by a crazy Gesaffelstein remix and great artwork from Jean André.
