Najeeb Sheikh is a Philly-based designer whose bold color-blocked pants have quickly become a favorite item amongst artists in the Fool’s Gold family. Following a limited-edition drawstring pant collaboration earlier this year, Najeeb and Fool’s Gold have teamed up again for a set of shorts that make a statement on-stage and off. The capsule collection features unisex, multi-fabric shorts in signature FG colors, as well as an electric black and blue pair designed by festival champions Flosstradamus, complete with rave-worthy reflective 3M accents. Pick them up now at store.foolsgoldrecs.com, hdynation.com, and the Fool’s Gold retail shop on 536 Metropolitan Ave in Williamsburg BK. Read More

Non Phixion tagged their name in the hip-hop history books with the drippy marker of an underground classic that is 2002′s The Future Is Now. They’ve been Fool’s Gold fam long before Fool’s Gold even existed (did you know that a pre-Chromeo Dave-1 produced “Cult Leader” and A-Trak scratched on it?) so we’re proud to host an in-store signing this Thursday (6/5) for the crazy new “premium edition” box set reissue of the album. Come to our Brooklyn store from 5-7pm to meet Ill Bill and DJ Eclipse and get your signed copy of The Future Is Now. Fool’s Gold is the ONLY physical retail store to carry the premium edition, and we’ll also be running a raffle to purchase one of 10 commercially-unavailable clear vinyl copies. Don’t miss it!

Bay Area illustrator Niv Bavarsky creates alternate universes with ink and pixels, mixing loopy, detailed hand-drawn strokes with bold textures and dreamlike bursts of color. His imaginative approach brings a welcome hit of trippiness to mainstream outlets like the New York Times and ESPN, and runs completely wild on record sleeves and flyers for Fool’s Gold and throughout Niv’s prolific personal output.
Fool’s Gold is proud to present Niv’s debut solo exhibition as part of the Fool’s Gold Artist Series, taking place this Thursday, May 16th, from 7-9pm at the label’s retail store on 536 Metropolitan Ave in Brooklyn. Artist will be in attendance, refreshments will be served, and original art will be available for sale, along with limited-edition Artist Series shirts.
