The FG fam is making our annual party pilgrimage down to Austin this month for the official Fool’s Gold SXSW Showcase on Friday, March 20th at Gypsy Lounge. Remember when you saw Kid Cudi at our first showcase? Flosstradamus? Danny Brown?!? This year, the cross-country coalition of awesome includes fresh signings from ATL (futuristic superstars Rome Fortune and Bosco, new rap heroes TM88 and ManMan Savage), LA (beat crew Athletixx and rap diva Leaf) and NYC (underground upstarts Fame School & Manolo Rose), alongside FG mainstays Brenmar, Nick Catchdubs and Shash’U, surprise friends and fam like Jersey crooner (and Yeezus favorite!) Fetty Wap, and many more, with A-Trak himself holding it down as master of ceremonies all night long. The event is free with SXSW badge or wristband, and limited $10 public tickets will be available at the door. Peep the full lineup after the jump, along with a video recap of last year’s showcase to remind you just how we get down… Read More
The new Rick Owens Men’s RTW collection made a lot of noise in Paris this week for it’s full frontal fashion. And the soundtrack was just as ballsy, courtesy of none other than FG’s own Bames, who were enlisted by Rick to create custom extended mixes of their DRTY BWTY tracks “Sippin” and “Posted” for the catwalk. Check it out on Bames’ Soundcloud, grab DRTY BWTY on iTunes, and stay tuned for their new EP coming this Spring on Fool’s Gold!
The Texan bass duo Bames just released their genre bending edit of The Weeknd for free download. It is yet another production that proves that these guys know how to twist our minds into a whole new level. Grab their debut DRTY BWTY EP now and continue dive deeper into the bass.
One of the most unique records we dropped all year was the unclassifiable DRTY BWTY EP by Bames. Banging yet dreamy, it’s a record that’s as tripped out as it is trapped out, and we’re very excited to hear what these Texas boys come up with for their next release. For now, we’ll make do with some new remixes, like the free “Thanky.Zip” odds n ends download over on Soundcloud, and an official remix for Creep’s “Vertigo,” out now on Beatport.
Our friends at Potato just premiered the new video for Bames “DRTY BWTY” (off their bass-tastic Fool’s Gold EP of the same name, out now on iTunes, Beatport and alladat). The combination of Bames’ wavy instrumental and director Josh Wehle’s bodybuilder footage is hypnotic to say the least… get pumped. Read More
The annual Fool’s Gold Austin extravaganza keeps getting bigger and better! Check out what went down at our official SXSW showcase, our after-hours bash with A$AP Yams at the Illmore, the mega-label Super Party team-up with Mad Decent and Check Yo Ponytail, and more (including Danny Brown proudly accepting an mtvU Video Of The Year Woodie!) in this official recap video.
Them Texas boys known as Bames have been whipping up a serious buzz ever since the release of their debut DRTY BWTY EP on Fool’s Gold a few weeks back. They kicked off our SXSW showcase with a fiery set of low-riding bass smashers and tripped out synth blasts… but why throw around adjectives when we can just give you a mix?
Are you up on Bames? These two beatmakin’ Texas boys are the newest addition to the Fool’s Gold league of superheroes, coming out swinging with their debut EP DRTY BWTY. Grab it now on iTunes, Beatport and everywhere else fine digital music is sold.
