Fool’s Gold Day Off 2015 Lineups

Posted on Jul 14th, 2015

After teasing you with date and city announcements (and selling out earlybird tickets before revealing a single act), we’re psyched to release lineups for this year’s edition of FOOL’S GOLD DAY OFF events, hitting Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Miami and Austin starting August 29th.

Label founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs have once again curated North America’s most culturally resonant festival. Who else brings together street rap royalty Meek Mill (currently riding high with the #1 album in the country), UK grime icon Skepta and underground superstars Flatbush Zombies? Who can showcase EDM favorites Flosstradamus and Alison Wonderland alongside nu-millennial MCs D.R.A.M. and Post Malone? Top it off with fresh label signings Rome Fortune, ManMan Savage, Bosco, Leaf, Hoodboi, Falcons and Shash’U and you’ve got an eclectic and electrifying lineup, in true Fool’s Gold style.

“DAY OFF is our culture. It’s where the full scope of Fool’s Gold comes together, it’s everything we represent. It doesn’t belong to one scene or another: DAY OFF is generational. We’ve watched it grow, step by step, with pride. I can’t wait to pull some more surprises this year!” – A-Trak

Tickets for all five DAY OFF events are available now at fgdayoff.com, along with recap videos and photos from the last five years of FGDO shows, featuring Danny Brown, A$AP Rocky, Run The Jewels, Juicy J, Young Thug, French Montana and many others. Read More

Bames x Rick Owens

Posted on Jan 23rd, 2015

The new Rick Owens Men’s RTW collection made a lot of noise in Paris this week for it’s full frontal fashion. And the soundtrack was just as ballsy, courtesy of none other than FG’s own Bames, who were enlisted by Rick to create custom extended mixes of their DRTY BWTY tracks “Sippin” and “Posted” for the catwalk. Check it out on Bames’ Soundcloud, grab DRTY BWTY on iTunes, and stay tuned for their new EP coming this Spring on Fool’s Gold!

New Bames Remixes

One of the most unique records we dropped all year was the unclassifiable DRTY BWTY EP by Bames. Banging yet dreamy, it’s a record that’s as tripped out as it is trapped out, and we’re very excited to hear what these Texas boys come up with for their next release. For now, we’ll make do with some new remixes, like the free “Thanky.Zip” odds n ends download over on Soundcloud, and an official remix for Creep’s “Vertigo,” out now on Beatport.
