Longtime label homie Willy Joy makes his official Fool’s Gold debut with the euphoric Clubhouse banger “Geeks.” Mixing kandi-coated bass drops with a gleefully goofy melody that recalls classic ’80s movie themes (Fletch gone festival trap?) “Geeks” is another one-of-a-kind jam we’re proud to include in the Clubhouse canon. Buffalo young’ns Eyes Everywhere make their Fool’s Gold Clubhouse debut with “Off Bailey,” a spring-loaded planet rocker that could only have emerged from the land of cold winters and hot wings. Grab the sauce and turn up the bass to this one. Get it now at foolsgoldrecs.com/clubhouse!
Smalltown DJs understand the physics of party music better than almost anyone on the planet. (What else would you expect from two selectors who actually built their own nightclub?) Their energetic, inventive sets have taken the duo around the globe, and their original productions are spun by the likes of A-Trak, Diplo, Annie Mac and more. Yet even veterans are able to surprise, and Smalltown’s latest, “See Thru,” is a true revelation of a tune. Grab it now from foolsgoldrecs.com/clubhouse!
This hybrid jam, built around the soulful vocals of Lisa Lobsinger (Broken Social Scene), manages to feel equally at home slamming a club’s main floor or anchoring an after party playlist. Is it nu-disco? Moombahton? EDM indie rock? (And where do the bugged out remixes from Thugli and Astronomar & Wuki fit?) All we know is that you won’t hear songs like these anywhere else, making them perfect additions to the Fool’s Gold Clubhouse.
For our last label stage of the 2013 festival season (*wipes single neon tear from cheek*) we brought the Fool’s Gold fam down to the Chattahoochee Hills of Georgia and kicked it into overdrive at Tomorrowworld! It was an all day adventure: ATL’s own FKI and Speakerfoxxx (with Gangsta Boo MCing!) started the day off strong, Anna Lunoe, Codes, Nick Catchdubs and Style Of Eye kept it housey all afternoon, Bag Raiders and Treasure Fingers brought in the funk and brought down the sun, and then Fake Blood, RL Grime, Araabmuzik and A-Trak absolutely murdered late into the night with the help of a few thousand ravers (not to mention giant LED animations, fireworks, confetti cannons and more). But why describe it when you can watch the recap video above? Some of our favorite still pics after the jump as well. C U NEXT SUMMER! Read More
Party rocking vets DJ Scene and Jayceeoh contribute a new, original track to the Fool’s Gold Clubhouse series and bang out with “Damn,” a laser-fueled anthem for clappers, twerkers and body movers around the globe. The song more than lives up to its title… play it immediately at the loudest possible volume!
The latest speaker blaster in the Fool’s Gold Clubhouse series is the gloriously fun, synth-stuffed party workout “Funk It,” from Parisian club master Gregori Klosman. Groovy and unpredictable, “Funk It” wiggles where others are content to merely pound away, delivering a much needed dose of surprise to dancefloors worldwide… get it now at foolsgoldrecs.com/clubhouse!
The Fool’s Gold fam returned to Electric Zoo this summer for another day of non stop dancery courtesy of A-Trak, Brodinski and Gesaffelstein, Araabmuzik, Congorock, DJ Sliink, Green Lantern, Just Blaze, Nick Catchdubs, Oliver and RL Grime.
