Posted on Jan 18th, 2013

Before the big FG Miami extravaganza this weekend, we figured why not warm things up with our friends?

RAP PARTY is just what you’d expect from the name: an afternoon of rap jams spun b2b from A-Trak and Craze, Busy P, Mehdi and Brodinski, Nick Catchdubs and Dave Nada, and Sammy Bananas and (Thee) Mike B. It goes down from 3-8pm at The Standard and is free with a donation to the Red Cross’ Japan relief efforts. We’ll see you there!

LA Riots "The Drop" Out Now!

Posted on Aug 17th, 2010

LA Riots’ debut single “The Drop” is out today on Beatport!

“The Drop” is the first official original from the Riots, mixing new musical experimentation with years of road-tested club confidence. Endlessly kinky riffs and jacking kickdrums have already made it a festival favorite, and it comes backed by two mindbending remixes from Duke Dumont and a stomping four-on-the-floor take from TJR. B-side “Bombah” is a planet rock party starter, flipped by Deadfish don Mowgli and Nadastrom’s Dave Nada. Yet even with such a dynamic remix lineup it’s all about the original tunes, setting the stage for many more LA Riots firestarters to come!

If you missed them the first time around, be sure to download these past LA Riots Foolcast mixes: Fall 09, Spring 10, Summer 10. Hit the jump for Dust La Rock’s “The Drop” sleeve art, which inspired the promo vid above. Read More

Foolcast 010: Dave Nada "Moombahton Megamix"

Posted on Mar 29th, 2010

Moombahton is the latest obsession of our pal Dave Nada, who stumbled upon the sound when taking a break from his Nadastrom duties to DJ a cousin’s high-school skip party. Seriously.

This megamix includes a bunch of his own moombahton morphs, a sprinkling of FG fam, and a lot of 108 bpm smiles.

Subscribe to the Foolcast via iTunes or your favorite RSS reader at the main Foolcast page, where you can also download the mix directly (right click and save-as). For some DJ playable versions of tracks from the mix check the T&A website, and for the tracklist just hit the jump! Read More
