The Count & Sinden / Kid Sister “Beeper” video that was filmed earlier this month is finally out!
Ladies and gents! Fool’s Gold is proud to announce two new releases, the long-awaited debut singles from Kid Cudi and Jokers of the Scene. Cudi’s hypnotic “Day ‘N’ Nite” comes backed with a thumping JOTS remix along with b-side “Dat New ‘New’” while the Jokers’ own “Y’all Know The Name” features two remixes from Flosstradamus and Nacho Lovers along with their club smash “Juggle It.”
You can grab both from Turntable Lab (and other fine vinyl retailers) as well as iTunes, Juno, and pretty much everywhere else digital music is sold (we’ll update the links as the releases go live – hit us up if your preferred spot doesn’t have it, and we’ll get it figured out).
Check us out in the latest Dazed and Confused, where they catch up with Kid Sis, A-Trak, Flosstradamus and yours truly. Scans after the jump (click for the legible big version). Read More
Like we mentioned earlier, indie club hit “Beeper” is getting re-released as the lead single for Count and Sinden’s album on Domino Records, complete with new verses from Kid Sister, not to mention Young Josh on hook duties. At around 4am last night (erm…this morning?) shooting wrapped for the “Beeper” video in Chicago, directed by tite bros Joey Garfield and Joey Patel for Ghost Robot. We’ll have some YouTubes from the set soon, so stay tuned for footage of DJ Autobot rocking a fierce Bluetooth headset, hot dogs, lots and lotsa juking, and a certain someone (currently writing this blog post) cameo-ing as a record store clerk…
Our bro (literally!) J2K of Flosstradamus is getting a head start on his spring cleaning by putting a bunch of stuff up on eBay. We’re talking Suicide Girls playing cards, a one night stay at the Trump Hotel King Suite in Chicago (“this gift certificate was in a gift bag i got after playing a set honoring Kanye West at this grammy party last fall”), Oakley shades, Mishka tees, old computers, and more…it’s a bonanza of value, and the closest thing you’ll get to a Flossy D garage sale without moving to the Chi.
2008 is nigh, and what better way to ring that bitch in than with your Fool’s Gold famalam? In Los Angeles, A-Trak will be rocking alongside Justice, 2 Live Crew, Busy P and more at the first annual Hard NYE fest. In San Francisco, Nick Catchdubs and Diplo get it in real heavy at Temple. In Montreal, Jokers of the Scene rave out with Curses!, Guns N Bombs, Crystal Castles and more at SAT. Keeping it Canadian, our Toronto friends can go enjoy the deejay stylings of Flosstradamus and pop champagne like they won a championship game at the Social. Aud lang syne! Flyers after the jump.
