Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth has been setting the internets on fire like none other with his unique, emo take on trunk rattling beats. He’s a been a favorite of FG for a minute (we just enlisted him to remix Bruiser Brigade!) so we’re proud to present this mix of some of his biggest bootlegs, where he reworks rap favorites from Top 40 mainstays and underground kingz alike, turning them into woozy digital bangers in his signature, lushly chopped-up style.

Ryan will be dropping a DJ set at the Fool’s Gold Five Year Anniversary Party this Saturday at Music Hall Of Williamsburg. It’s free all night, come thru at 9pm and check the man in action alongside Ghostface Killah, A-Trak, Flosstradamus and more.
The latest FOOLCAST features nothing but productions from Cardo, the peerlessly funky young producer who helped craft Wiz Khalifa’s smoked out sound on the beloved Kush & OJ and Taylor Allderdice mixtapes, and is gearing up to release his debut Fool’s Gold EP, Everything I$ Gold.
Cardo’s production resume reads like a Who’s Who of hip-hop’s rising stars, and his FOOLCAST shows off 90 minutes of our favorites from his discography. It’s equal parts gangsta soul music, futuristic synthesizer trips, and unstoppable 808 bump, an awesomely region-less hybrid inspired by DJ Quik and Pimp C classics but rightfully belonging to one dude alone… Cardo on the beat!
Our dudes The Rub are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their long-running Brooklyn dance party this weekend with “Summer Of The Rub,” a free all-day, all-ages blowout at Dekalb Market on Saturday (6/23). To celebrate, they put together a great mix of classic rock (really!) for the Foolcast.

Hit the jump for the tracklist alongside Ayres’ explanation of how the inspiration all came together (as well as details for the party, which will also feature Neil Armstrong and Rich Medina on the decks).
Sydney record spinner Anna Lunoe is one of the best people ever… and not just because she put together this mix of homegrown heatrocks featuring all-OZ talent, from groovy disco jams to big room dance detonators. Check it out!

For the past several years, Tony Senghore has been killing it with his remixes and original productions that connect the boom of big room house and techno with the anything goes, WTF freakouts of underground electronic music. He first blessed FG with his signature touch on a remix of Lil B’s Young L collab “Freeze” (as featured on the Fool’s Gold x Serato “4 Deep” vinyl) and now comes through with an exclusive DJ mix of his recent productions and club favorites.
The latest Foolcast comes from our disco lovin Italian bro His Majesty Andre, who whipped up a collection of OG samples from some of your favorite dance records. Says HMA, “As you’ve might have noticed, I go crazy for sampling. No matter if it’s pop, house music, experimental or hip-hop, I’ve always been fascinated by the way you can turn a thing into another, whether a straight loop or a chopped, replayed and distorted one. The samples used in music are countless, I just chose my favorites.” No tracklist, that’s part of the fun…
Shade45 selector supreme and one of our favorite NYC clubrockers DJ Wonder put together a collection of lite rock jams perfect for cooling out at home or walking the JC Penney aisles with Ma Dukes. Get breezy…
When even 50 Cent is rocking curls, you know that Summer ’11 is getting off to a particularly wavy start. So what better time to release “The Activator Mix” into the world?!?
Fool’s Gold is proud to present a brand-new DJ mix from NegroClash, aka NYC party stalwarts and longtime label friends DJ Lindsey, Prince Language and Duane Harriott. The trio have whipped up a note-perfect collection of funkables perfect for your next house party, BBQ, vacation drive, or any other hot-weather activity that requires that extra degree of jams. No tracklist, just know these are the handclaps, basslines, 909s and good vibes you absolutely need in your life. Plus: it’s hosted by Sun Ra!
Who is Club Cheval? “Nous sommes un collectif, un label, un laboratoire, une écurie. Nous sommes situés entre Lille, Paris et Londres.” This stable of bass wizards has been responsible for some of the funnest, oddest club tracks of the past year or so. The youngest of the crew is Canblaster, who burst on the scene like a synth-wielding Harry Potter with facemelting singles like “Jetpack,” “Clockworks,” and a gleefully warped collection of remixes, like his take on our Style Of Eye and Slagsmålsklubben single “Homeless.”
Combine that discography with his enthusiastic, thoroughly unpredictable approach to DJing, and it’s no wonder that Canblaster has quickly become an extended fam favorite over here at FG. But don’t take our word for it – go float with his brand new Foolcast mix, “Skyscrapers Are The Mountains Of The City,” a hypnotic collection of digital jams new and old.
