High Klassified – Law of Automata: Valid

Posted on Apr 5th, 2021

Inspired by futuristic sounds and sci-fi storylines, High Klassified has blazed one of the most original paths in electronic music, releasing stylish and conceptual EPs on Fool’s Gold while producing platinum hits for Future and The Weeknd. Law Of Automata: Valid is his most ambitious project yet, following HK’s android avatar (as designed by 3D illustrator Serwah Attafuah) as it experiences the full spectrum of human feelings over the course of the EP’s five tracks. These diverse collaborations with R&B singers Leven Kali and Illham, international MCs Zach Zoya and Izi, and EDM beat star TroyBoi each represent a different emotion, and when taken together launch the android – and the listener – to a higher plane of understanding. High Klassified “Kanvaz”

Posted on Apr 27th, 2018

High Klassified doubles down on his signature sound with Kanvaz, a remarkable new EP out now on Fool’s Gold. The young producer has taken his crystalline melodies and inventive drum programming from the basements of Laval, Ontario to the farthest reaches of the globe, working with Future and The Weeknd on their hit collab “Comin Out Strong,” Mick Jenkins on his critically acclaimed “Gold” and A-Trak and Lex Luger on the groundbreaking Low Pros collective. But on Kanvaz, HK creates a true world of his own, mixing heavy, video-game inspired instrumentals with gorgeous vocal collaborations featuring Leaf, Da-P and Zach Zoya. Listen now.

High Klassified feat. Zach Zoya “1919”

Posted on Apr 4th, 2018

High Klassified makes his return to Fool’s Gold today with “1919” feat. Zach Zoya. Over the last few years, this Quebec-based record producer has gone global with his signature sound: a mix of dreamy, video game-inspired melodies and heavy duty drum programming featured by Future and The Weeknd on their hit collab “Comin Out Strong” and Mick Jenkins on his critically acclaimed “Gold.” When he’s not lacing hip hop and R&B kingpins, HK’s own originals on the Fool’s Gold EPs Kronostasis and Palindroma have him ranked alongside trap virtuosos like Mr. Carmack, Sam Gellaitry and Metro Boomin (who HK has collaborated with as part of A-Trak and Lex Luger’s Low Pros collective). Moby “Black Lacquer”

Posted on Feb 10th, 2017

Moby is a true electronic music pioneer. He redefined rave on singles like 1990’s “Go,” then slowed down to explore its aftermath on the multiplatinum Play LP. Decades later, the man is still firing off pointed, personal salvos and dance music curveballs from his LA studio—and, in a most fitting partnership, he’s enlisted Fool’s Gold to remix his iconic catalog on the diverse new Black Lacquer EP. Treasure Fingers, Madeaux, High Klassified, and FG co-founder Nick Catchdubs each put their own spin on Moby hits like “Natural Blues” and “Porcelain,” bouncing from industrial experiments and futuristic techno workouts to late-night house and zooted club bass. Black Lacquer isn’t the Moby you’ve heard before, but a surprising collection that keeps his trailblazing spirit alive.
