Long Live Crookers

In a statement on their website, Italy’s Crookers announced that they would be going their separate ways, with Bot pursuing new projects while Phra continues on under the Crookers name. They thank their fans for the support and emphasize “don’t be sad!” with a brand new mix featuring tracks from their Fool’s Gold EP, Bowser, and other fresh heatrocks.

Fool's Gold Five Year Anniversary 10/20

Fool’s Gold is gettin’ grown! Our annual anniversary bashes are the stuff of legend, and the fifth one takes place on Saturday, October 20th as part of the ongoing Converse Rubber Tracks Live series of free concerts at Music Hall Of Williamsburg.

The showcase will feature performances from A-Trak, Flosstradamus, Nick Catchdubs, Donnis, World’s Fair, and Troy Ave (all of whom have recorded at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio, and have music featured on our upcoming hip-hop compilation, Loosies). Day Off LA This Sunday! More RSVPs Released + VIP Tickets For Sale

This Sunday (10/7) the crew hits Los Angeles for our first ever West Coast edition of DAY OFF, featuring A-Trak, Danny Brown, Chromeo (DJ Set), Cool Kids, Casey Veggies, Congorock, Oliver, Donnis, Kingdom, Nick Catchdubs and special guests.

The response to our initial Day Off LA announcement was so crazy that we hit capacity on RSVPs only a few hours later! We held some space though, and will be releasing 500 additional RSVPs on the website today at noon PST. (If you’ve already RSVPed, hold tight – venue info will be emailed to you before the event).

We’ve also got a limited selection of VIP passes available for sale, which includes access to the private venue entrance and viewing area behind the stage, hosted bar and food.

For three years running, our annual DAY OFF party has been THE most talked about free music event in New York. The Labor Day extravaganza has featured the likes of Juicy J, A$AP Rocky, Just Blaze, Araabmuzik and the late, great DJ Mehdi. This year’s party was raved about by the New York Times, Village Voice, Pitchfork and countless others. So it’s only right that we transport our hometown insanity to the West Coast for the first-ever Los Angeles DAY OFF on Sunday, October 7th!
