Fool's Gold @ SXSW This Week

This weekend the Fool’s Gold fam heads down to Austin TX with the rest of our flower sniffin, kitty pettin, corporate rock friends to perform at the SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST FESTIVAL OF MUSICS. Sun! Suds! Serato! Our first ever official SXSW showcase on Saturday night at Volume is the highlight of course (SXSW badges only, limited amounts of tix on sale at the door so get there early!), but there are a number of FG-related events popping off throughout the week check them all after the jump. Hot Set On A Platter

Like we mentioned earlier, indie club hit “Beeper” is getting re-released as the lead single for Count and Sinden’s album on Domino Records, complete with new verses from Kid Sister, not to mention Young Josh on hook duties. At around 4am last night (erm…this morning?) shooting wrapped for the “Beeper” video in Chicago, directed by tite bros Joey Garfield and Joey Patel for Ghost Robot. We’ll have some YouTubes from the set soon, so stay tuned for footage of DJ Autobot rocking a fierce Bluetooth headset, hot dogs, lots and lotsa juking, and a certain someone (currently writing this blog post) cameo-ing as a record store clerk…
