Remember the last time we rocked at the 10.Deep holiday party? Our BK buds are back at Element in the LES this Thursday (12/6) for another seasonal blowout, this time with Killa Cam performing and Killa Catchdubs on the 1s and 2s, joined by Joey Bada$$ and more. This Wednesday (12/5) we’re hosting an event in the Fool’s Gold store for DJs Against Climate Change, the non profit organization founded by Sammy Bananas. Now entering it’s 5th year of helping DJs offset the environmentally damaging carbon emissions produced from their airplane travel, the DJACC uses artists’ cultural influence to show how everyone can take responsibility for their impact on Climate Change.
Find out more (and donate!) at indiegogo.com/DJACC, and come thru the store this Wednesday, where Sammy will break down ways to combat climate change in person while Nick Catchdubs, Star Eyes (Trouble & Bass) and DJ Ayres (The Rub) play tunes from 6-9pm. We’ll also have complimentary refreshments from our friends at Bushmills. Hang and learn! Read More
Next Saturday (12/8) we head down to Art Basel in Miami to rock the Basel Castle alongside Purity Ring, Twin Shadow, Brenmar, Teengirl Fantasy, Trinidad Jame$ and more! Come party with Oliver, Nick Catchdubs, Donnis and a surprise guest from the fam… full info and details at baselcastle.com.
Ain’t no party like a Fool’s Gold party… we celebrated five years of label-dom in style during CMJ weekend, taking over one of the Converse Rubber Tracks Live nights at Music Hall Of Williamsburg and bringing a bunch of our friends along. The legendary Ghostface Killah headlined alongside A-Trak, Flosstradamus, Donnis (who brought out Trinidad Jame$ and what felt like half of Atlanta onstage), World’s Fair (who did the same for NY with Flatbush Zombies and Tanboys), Nick Catchdubs, Troy Ave, Chase N Cashe, Ryan Hemsworth, the latest member of the FG fam GrandeMarshall and more.
We brought DAY OFF to Los Angeles last month, throwing our long running NYC bash in Cali for the first time ever. Suffice it to say… it was crazy! The whole fam was in effect, with A-Trak, Danny Brown, Chromeo, Cool Kids, Casey Veggies, Congorock, Oliver, Donnis, Kingdom, Nick Catchdubs and more performing in front of a few thousand of LA’s finest party people. And when it was all said and done, we threw an afterparty with the likes of Dave1, RL Grime, Carnage, Franki Chan… Good times!
Some of the biggest names in big-room will be throwing down, and in the upstairs “Pachita” room, Fool’s Gold and Trouble & Bass DJs will be doing their part to party for the cause: Nick Catchdubs, Sammy Bananas, Nick Hook, Star Eyes, Sicksentz (Mr MFN Exquire’s DJ), Tony Quattro and more. 618 W. 48th St, come through! Suggested donation is $40 but any amount will be accepted. (Donations of canned food, clothing, blankets, toiletries, will be accepted as well.)
For the fifth year running, the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival returns to our fine borough for two nights of high powered dance music and all manner of fine bleepables.
