We say this after every Labor Day… but this year’s Day Off was our absolute craziest yet! Thousands of party people took over 50 Kent to rock with Fool’s Gold family and friends. The day brought sets from Danny Brown, French Montana, A-Trak, Araabmuzik, The Lox, Brenmar, Hoodboi B2B Falcons, Yung Gleesh, World’s Fair, Nick Catchdubs feat B.I.C., Shash’u, Black Dave, GrandeMarshall, Cakes Da Killa and Ruff Ryders young’n Lil Waah. And let’s not forget the surprise guests! French Montana brought out BK’s own Bobby Shmurda, while A-Trak surprised the crowd with Remy Ma, Cam’ron, A$AP Nast, iLoveMakonnen, and Travi$ Scott, and Black Dave repped for the home team with Smoke DZA. Desus & Mero held us down on the host tip with their bodega stand up (complete with assists from Rosenberg, Miss Info, Ebro and the Hot 97 crew). It was truly one for the books…
The DAY OFF party train keeps on rollin… we’ve already announced our lineups for NYC, Toronto and Los Angeles, but Fool’s Gold’s first ever ATL edition might be the craziest yet! Come party with trap supergroup Low Pros (aka A-Trak, Lex Luger, Metro Boomin and a Who’s Who of their hometown friends), FG’s resident rock star Danny Brown, G.O.O.D. Music scene-stealer Travi$ Scott, and “OG Bobby Johnson” hit man Que, alongside ATL’s own Heroes x Villains and Bosco, party smashers Tropkillaz and Brenmar, Atlanta rap legend Fabo and current man of the party iLoveMakonnen, FG co-founder Nick Catchdubs, mixtape king DJ Spinz and special guests galore!
It all goes down Saturday, November 1st at Masquerade Music Park. Get info and buy your tickets at fgdayoff.com and check the packed lineups for DAY OFFs in New York, Toronto and Los Angeles as well. (Lineup announcement for the final FGDO in Miami on December 7th coming soon…)
Fool’s Gold’s very own DAY OFF festival continues to psych up party people around the country with the announcement of this year’s Los Angeles lineup, headlined by label heroes A-Trak and Danny Brown, rising rap trailblazers Vic Mensa (in his first LA performance) and Travi$ Scott, a very rare Invisibl Skratch Piklz reunion featuring Q-Bert, Mixmaster Mike, D-Styles and Shortkut, Death Row legend Kurupt, plus DJ sets from Hoodboi, Nick Catchdubs, Kittens, and (as always) special guests galore.
It all goes down Sunday, October 12th at the Shrine Expo Hall and Grounds (same place as last year’s bash). Get info and tickets at fgdayoff.com and check the packed lineups for DAY OFFs in New York and Toronto (Atlanta and Miami, you’re next!). Ticket Code = GOLD
Low Pros’ debut EP1 is out today on iTunes featuring new amped-up remixes from gLAdiator and TWRK (as well as exclusive unreleased instrumentals) for maximum low end enjoyment. The supergroup of A-Trak and Lex Luger linked in Atlanta for non-stop recording sessions with fellow producers Metro Boomin (Future, YG), Brillz and FG’s very own High Klassified, then enlisted everyone from new-school superstar Young Thug to dirty south legend Juvenile to add their magic to the mix. The results take the trap sound Lex literally invented into outer space, raising the bar for hip-hop and electronic productions alike. Grab the EP on iTunes now (and represent in your very own Low Pros tees from store.foolsgoldrecs.com).
