Today’s vowel-less linkage continues, as we direct you once again to RCRD LBL to download the excellent Lifelike remix of Treasure Fingers’ already-excellent “Cross The Dancefloor” for the even more excellent price of zero cents. Grab it, link it, party naked. And don’t forget to pick up the full “Cross The Dancefloor” single at allfinedigitalretailers. Vinyl gets here next week, and there will be more treats from Treasure Fingers and Lifelike on this here blog very soon…
That’s not Kid Sister or Pase Rock, it is a Popeye’s Chicken Burrito
You might know FG friend Tittsworth from his club remixes (and break records!), or his impromptu stint as Kid Sister’s hypeman on the Good Vibrations tour in Australia. Now you can add “solo artist” to the mix, since he has a debut album coming out next Tuesday called 12 Steps on Plant Music. Kid Sis returns the favor by guesting on his single “WTF” alongside Pase Rock, and you can grab the “WTF” mp3 (and read a quick Q&A with Tittsworth about the making of the album) over at the Fader blog.
Two new free mixes from yours truly have dropped over the past few days.
First up is Slick, a bunch of uptempo tracks i’ve been playing lately (and morphs into some dubstep shit and weird rap at the end). Grab it and check the Q&A and track explanations over at Trash Menagerie.
Brand new as of this morning is Kizzaland, the debut mixtape I put together for Timbaland’s new artist Izza Kizza. Just sent an email to my boy calling it “country rap tunes…in space,” which sounds about right. Goes everywhere from abstract clubby shit to intensely personal, funny/sad storytelling – download and give it a listen! UPDATE: old zShare went dead, here’s a new link.
Need weekend jams? Nacho Lovers have you covered with two separate mixes done for dolo: Fistfight’s housey set from last week’s EVR (complete with extraneous talk-overs from some goof…) and Seewhale’s mix for Buffalo clothing emporium Krudmart for the low low price of Free Ninety Nine. Links and tracklists after the jump. Read More
We’re the label of the week over at RCRD LBL, where they describe us by saying “Our bros A-Trak and Catchdubs are dropping club hits for the kids!” That sounds about right. Head over there and download freebies like the JFK and Bag Raiders remixes of Kid Sister, Cudi and Crookers, and more!
The post title says it all! Some new madness from our Ottawa neighbors, featuring lots of exclusives (including some Fool’s Gold sneak peeks) and enough ravey flavor to keep your pupils dilated all weekend. Download it here, tracklist after the jump! Read More
You can grab Kid Cudi’s new mixtape “A Kid Named Cudi” (a Plain Pat and Emile production) right here. Come out to the Red Bull Space on 40 Thompson St in NYC tonight (7.17) for the release party, featuring a performance from Cudi and DJ sets from Nick Catchdubs, Plain Pat and 88 Keys. RSVP and get there early!
