The latest batch of chonkyfire to emerge from Donnis’ rap lab is Southern Lights, a new mixtape put together by our own Nick Catchdubs.
Southern Lights features 13 new tracks (and his star turn on the “Ray Ban Vision” remix, of course) showcasing the many moods of Donnis: the playa, the party man, the country rap storyteller, and – as always – the ever-hungry MC, with some guest support from Young Dro, Gorilla Zoe, XV and even Dungeon Family poet laureate Big Rube (!!!)
It’s no great secret that cold sesame noodles are a delicious, light spring time meal. But our version takes the Chinese restaurant staple to new levels but using two types of vinegar and adding tahini (sesame paste and the basis for a good hummus, FYI) to the mix. The secret to getting the best consistency is to allow the noodles to cool slightly and adding the sauce at the last second before serving. That’s what’s up. Recipe after the jump! Read More

ALL OF US ARE RIGHT. For more Codes goodies, go grab his latest batch of bootlegs (Busta! Swizzy!) over at Media Contender.

Stunna shades: on! Trizzy revitalizes the rap remix with Fool’s Gold’s first ever posse cut, keeping the CyHi Da Prynce chorus from his OG “Ray Ban Vision” (which you can grab on Fool’s Gold Vol 1) and enlisting Donnis, Pill, and Danny Brown to kill it on brand new verses over a supercharged, scratch-enhanced beat.
