Mad Rey and Blasé are two of France’s most fascinating current artists. Both straddle the lines of House and Hip Hop and both have a prolific output of music. On their collaborative Sick again EP, Blasé’s bashful falsetto vocals — which graced his cult-favorite BLABLABLA album last year — soar over Mad Rey’s timeless House and Ghettotech productions, sounding like they’re coming straight out of his MPC. The tracks have a softer, more melodic feel than Mad Rey’s solo work, showing the real depth of their collaboration. This whole EP fits just as well on your headphones at home as it does in the club.
