Rappin Ass Thursdays #48
Posted on Nov 5th, 2010 in Downloads > Rappin Ass Thursdays by Mr. Goldbar
This week’s edition is already posted on a very loose definition of “Thursday” (blame Good Fridays for the punctuality precedent, what can I say) so lets get right into it. Rappps!
Kinfolk Kia Shine f Yung Joc “Club Walmart” [mp3]
In no way shape or form is this fucking with Dude N Nem “McDonalds.” Also didnt Yung Joc already make this song, but about Starbucks?
Pitbull “Mujeres” [mp3]
A welcome respite from all the generic Jersey Shore house crossover tracks Pit has been churning out. There is a real art to stoopid, you can’t just half ass it. This one proves…he still got it!
Twista f. Diddy “Back To The Basics” [mp3]
Speaking of big room raps, how come Twista never caked off that whole movement going mainstream? He had been getting on dance records since forever (word to Stanton Warriors) but the only track in recent memory was the almost full year too late remake of Sidney Sampson “Riverside” (and we all know the real star of that video was Tittsworth’s vest). It seems like he’s given up on that lane completely, to return to super fast, super murder’d out Adrenaline Rush shit. Can’t be mad at that. (Chicago sidebar: great AV Club interview with the dude who played Candyman. Someone should flip Philip Glass for LEP Bogus Boys or some shit.)
Styles P “Love Barbra” [mp3]
Maybe the first rap song about pull-ups. The Bartendaz need an infomercial. WILL YOU PROTECT THIS HOUSE?!?!
Wiz Khalifa f. Juicy J “In My Car” [mp3]
Fonky. I only wish Project Pat-uh was on this too.
Cory Mo f. Z-Ro “Rollin” [mp3]
Fonky Pt 2. Am I tripping or is that the dying Pac Man noise in the background?
Danny Brown “Greatest Rapper Alive”
You should have been seen this already, I’m just posting again cause I’ve had “off them same pills that had Carlton dancin fast” in my head all week for some reason. (It’s not unusual.)
