GrandeMarshall
The latest addition to the Fool’s Gold Records roster is teenage Philly phenom GrandeMarshall. The young MC’s atmospheric, expertly crafted debut mixtape 800 caught the ear of label founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs, who quickly brought Grande into their FG crew, introducing him onstage at the label’s five-year anniversary party in Brooklyn as the newest signing to the label that’s launched artists from Danny Brown to Duck Sauce to the world at large.
Download GrandeMarshall’s 800 and give a listen to what’s got Fool’s Gold (and early adopters around the globe) so excited. Featuring thoughtfully brash rhymes over production from the likes of DJ Dahi (Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy), Silky Johnson (A$AP Mob, Main Attrakionz) and even Grande himself, 800 moves seamlessly from the moody mission statement “Dearly Beloved” to North Philly trunk rattlers “GODBPM” and “NP Shidd,” and heralds the arrival of one of the most exciting new talents in hip hop.
