We’re extremely proud to present this new Foolcast from our globetrotting, internet hardwired, one-of-a kind deejay pal Brodinski. His “International Gold” mix showcases the bouncing, bubbling side of Brodi via a tasty selection of recent favorites and new exclusives.
Kid Gloves whipped up this pugilistic new mix showcasing their fight-themed favorites new and old. It manages to tie in everything from Talking Heads and the Rolling Stones to a gang of FG knockouts, including tracks from their debut EP Bare Knuckle. So stop whatever you’re doing and get in the ring…
Two independent record labels, united under a groove…
Last month we teamed up with our friends from Stones Throw, laced up our dancing shoes and hit the road for the DISCOTHEQUE extravaganza! Four nights of “disco, boogie and house music” (as the hand-drawn flyer advertised) from Peanut Butter Wolf, A-Trak, J-Rocc and Nacho Lovers, along with special guests Mayer Hawthorne, Treasure Fingers and Holy Ghost!
All kind of photos after the jump, but before you dig in, go download our latest Foolcast, featuring Peanut Butter Wolf’s live set from the Chicago show. Shout outs and basslines galore! The latest Foolcast comes to us courtesy of Style Of Eye, who put together this mini-mix of groovy, quirky jams to go along with his newly-released single (in collab with Slagsmålsklubben) “Homeless.” There’s some SoE originals and remixes, appearances from FG family and friends, and surprises. Dig in!
Like they always do at this time, LA Riots return with another seasonal Foolcast of current favorites smashed up against their own remixes and new productions. The Summer 2010 mix is their housiest, most wiggle-inducing set to date, including a TJR mix of upcoming Riots single “The Drop” and a tease of “Control Your Tuba” off the forthcoming Fool’s Gold Compilation LP, due out this fall.
In an interview a few years back about his brand Team Works, Neal Santos described his vision thusly: “Quality stuff, shit that won’t fall apart after the first wash. And for inspirations, it’s fuckin’ not even so much that it’s New York shit, it’s just shit that hits home. Enough of the bite of the bite of the bite of the funny logo bite. Show me something real, something heartfelt, something that actually means something. Show me. I don’t care if it’s a full print. Nigga, it could be a oversize full print. I might have to wear a turtleneck but you know, if it’s real, dude hook me up.”
This attitude perfectly sums up why Neal has been a longtime NYC creative fixture (and friend of FG since Fat Beats!), and why we asked him to put together the first Foolcast of the Summer. It’s hot out here!

Amen, y’all! We’re doubling up on the Foolcasts this Friday for a special hands-in-the-air, breakbeat-centric edition courtesy of our friends Willy Joy and Camo UFOs.
Willy is up to bat first with his “Oldskool ‘Ardcore Vibes” mix, collecting all manner of upper-register BPMs and ecstatic piano riffs, new and old. Camo UFOs provide their recent junglist-and-more “R U SICK!” mix, burned on CD promos at recent shows and available in downloadable form for the first time here. (To sweeten the deal, the UFOs have also sent over an exclusive VIP mix of their remix of Count and Sinden’s “Mega,” which you can grab here.)

If you’re feeling the mixes, check for these guys’ equally raved-out upcoming projects, including a Willy Joy / Rob Threezy collab EP and a Camo UFOs / Sinden team up on G’s new label Grizzly, among other choons / remixes / shows etc. Lighta! Read More
Fresh off a successful WMC run, LA Riots return to the Foolcast with a new mix of new music – some techy, jacking (and seasonally appropriate!) jams for that ass. New tunes from our friends at BNR, Sound Pellegrino, and many more, along with a teaser of the Riots’ new one “Bombah” at the end. Enjoy!
Moombahton is the latest obsession of our pal Dave Nada, who stumbled upon the sound when taking a break from his Nadastrom duties to DJ a cousin’s high-school skip party. Seriously.
This megamix includes a bunch of his own moombahton morphs, a sprinkling of FG fam, and a lot of 108 bpm smiles.

Just in time for Valentines day, here’s two schmoove Foolcast mixes courtesy of our friends Four Color Zack and DJ Sneak!
FCZ is up first with his “Bang, Hard.” mix, featuring some of his favorite recent (and not so recent) jams from the “darker, more experimental” side of R&B. House hero DJ Sneak provides “For The Ladies, Vol 1” with his signature house take on the holiday’s luv-ed up vibes, an hour and change of feel-good vocals and some very unexpected remix choices.
