Happy belated Boxing Day! Download the JOTS remix of Scott Cooper and Andy George’s “Jump And Twist” over at Electric Zoo.
This past Friday we had our 2nd annual Fool’s Gold holiday jam. Even with a NYC blizzard in full effect all day, the true believers came out to party with the FG fam and our special guests DJ Premier and Cipha Sounds. Kid Sister and Trackademicks cut it up on the dancefloor, Daniel LA Riots and Linus JOTS were spotted with Pepsi-n-Hennessy coctails in hand, Primo dropped “Hold It Now Hit It,” and a festive time was had by all. (Dust swears he saw Macaulay Culkin in the mix but I don’t believe him he needs more people).
Check out Ian Meyer’s gallery of party pics here, and some Trackademicks snapshots here. As a bonus beat, watch some interview footage John Brown (“KingOfDaBurbz”!) was filming at the party on his Flipcam.
Wondering where your favorite FG DJs will be rocking on NYE? Check our handy around-the-globe events guide after the jump, complete with links to purchase advance tickets.
European friends! Check out Jokers Of The Scene this week spreading the FG love on a quickie tour of your fine countries’ even finer dance party establishments.
Dec 4 – Twisted Pepper – Dublin, Ireland
Dec 5 – Dattera Til Hagen – Oslo, Norway
Dec 6 – Bloggers Delight @ Social Club – Paris, France
Last month a bunch of the FG fam went out on the road to celebrate the release of our Fool’s Gold Remixed compilation with Scion. And now we finally got all the pics back (save for the Philly date, I blame Andy Reid…) and can share em with you after the jump.
Stay tuned for a limited edition vinyl 12″ of selected tracks from the comp, and look for copies at various Fool’s Gold and Scion events throughout the rest of this year and next. And if you can’t track the CD down, cop the remixes from your favorite digital retailer. Now onto the recap-ery! Read More
Electric Fields is an electronic (duh) music and media arts festival in Ottawa that’s “dedicated to the presentation of new and significant performance and installation works created at the crossroads of art, science and technology.” It should make sense, then, for Ottawa’s resident electronic wizards Jokers Of The Scene to get involved. They’ve made an exclusive mix which you can download for free until the festival closes on 11/23. Grab it here:

You can also check out the Jokers alongside Treasure Fingers in Mexico City this Saturday, check the flyer and info here.
We already shouted out the JOTS / Trackademicks show at Cinespace in LA tonight (11.18), but gotta remind you once again now that Laidback Luke has been officially added to the show! Don’t be a dummy, roll out for this…
Los Angelenos get THREE chances to check out Jokers Of The Scene over the next few days. Rejoice!
First up is a free in-store DJ set Sunday evening (11/16) at Turntable Lab on Fairfax (map) followed by a sure-to-be sweaty edition of Banana Split at LAX with Mike B and friends supporting. Then on Tuesday (11/18) JOTS are rocking at Cinespace alongside Trackademicks, Head Like A Kite, Dan Oh, Them Jeans, Miss Toats and a rumored SOOPER special guest?!? Don’t miss em! Full size flyers after the jump.
As we continue on… the Scion/FG Fool’s Gold Remixed tour rolls into Philly tonight with Sammy Bananas, Trackademicks, Nacho Lovers and Treasure Fingers rocking the Barbary, and then finishes up in Baltimore on Wednesday with Sammy, Nick Catchdubs, Trackademicks, and Jokers Of The Scene at Ottobar. Both shows are FREE with RSVP! Get your names in and get more info at www.scion.com/avrelease.
