Friend connection! Sammy Bananas hooked up with DJ Lindsey for your new favorite summer jam, “Skyline.” Download the the smoothed out, 80s-inspired cut and get in on Sammy’s vinyl bootleg Kickstarter while it lasts!
Sammy B is back with another volume of his vinyl bootlegs series, flipping throwback jams in his inimitably funky style. Like last time, it’s a completely fan-funded affair you can support via Kickstarter for all kinda goodies. Do it! More official SB trax are on deck this year, along with tons of artist production and collaborations (like this Shyvonne track recently premiered by Fact).
In advance of his show this Friday at Good Room in BK with fellow funksters Gigamesh and Cassian, Sammy Bananas dropped off a new mix for the good people at Discobelle. Vibe out to it (sez one Soundclouder: “i could def fold 3,000 Abercrombie logo shirts to this jam”) and for more Sammy action, pick up his still-smoking Money Time EP on iTunes and everywhere fine digital music is sold.
On last year’s FG single “Money Time,” Sammy Bananas introduced the neo-diva vocals of Antony & Cleopatra to the world. They’ve just now reconnected in the form of “Sirens,” a chill house cut out now on iTunes. Stay tuned for more heat from all three!
Sammy Bananas has been out on the road in support of his current single “Money Time” (on iTunes now, nudge nudge, wink wink) but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been keeping busy in between gigs! Check out his latest bootleg, a housed-up rework of Rae Sremmurd’s ratchet ballad “No Type,” as well as a 45 minute mix for DC’s long-running Blisspop.
Sammy Bananas means business. This Fool’s Gold OG has proven himself as a master of the club jam, writing tunes that pay respect to dance music’s past while simultaneously charting it’s quirky, funky future. “Money Time” is his latest hybrid single, weaving vocals from new school divas Antony & Cleopatra over a chunky, pulsating slice of piano house. It’s as dancefloor (and dare we say, radio) ready as anything from the likes of Duke Dumont or Kiesza, but with a pleasantly odd heart that’s 100% Sammy. The remixes are no slouch either: peak-time heat from festival mainstay Wax Motif, jacking vibes courtesy Colorado’s Option4, and a wonky, unclassifiable bass version from Durkin that’s already a FG favorite, keeping this “Money Time” package paid in full.
Sammy Bananas has been busy cooking it up in the studio and just dropped a crisp and well done track, “Pan Seared”. Sammy sets fire to his midi-sax and seasons this tune with equal parts house and bass. And finishes it all off in a thick sauce of vibes. This is just a taste of what is to come from Mr. Bananas so enjoy these full bodied flavors along side his Flexin EP colored vinyl! Buy Flexin on iTunes now.
Sammy Bananas is back with a new summer flavor. A “Peach Mix” that will keep you extra cool in this heat. Grab Sammy’s blue colored vinyl of his Flexin EP now or on iTunes!
