You already know we’re gonna be repping at Coachella next weekend. With A-Trak, Duck Sauce and Chromeo taking the stage, how could we not?
The festivities don’t end at the festival, however. We’re throwing a daytime party called DESERT GOLD on Saturday, 4/16 at the Oasis Beach Club, presented by G by Guess. Treasure Fingers, Jokers Of The Scene, Kingdom, Nick Catchdubs, and our Cali cousins Classixx will be handling music duties, and there will be refreshments from Bushmills and more. RSVP for entry and info, all y’all 21+ party people out there. And bring your trunks! Read More
A few (crazy) weeks ago we took to the highways and byways of North America for the ROAD GOLD tour, in honor of our first ever compilation album. It was a Fool’s Gold soufflé. A b-boy bouillabaisse. A motherfucking techno gumbo of epic proportions!
From city to city, Treasure Fingers, Congorock, LA Riots, Jokers Of The Scene, Nacho Lovers, Kingdom, Nick Catchdubs, Sammy Bananas and Telephoned teamed up in various combinations to rock the party. In LA we were even joined by special guests Just Blaze and Kid Sister! Party vibes were plentiful. But don’t take our word for it: peep the recap vid above, as well as some tour snapshots (and even more vids) after the jump. Read More

Before the big FG Miami extravaganza this weekend, we figured why not warm things up with our friends?
RAP PARTY is just what you’d expect from the name: an afternoon of rap jams spun b2b from A-Trak and Craze, Busy P, Mehdi and Brodinski, Nick Catchdubs and Dave Nada, and Sammy Bananas and (Thee) Mike B. It goes down from 3-8pm at The Standard and is free with a donation to the Red Cross’ Japan relief efforts. We’ll see you there!
March madness! Like we always do at this time, Team FG is going to be bumrushing a music festival near you with some unforgettable parties featuring the whole fam.
First up, our annual SXSW bash, back at Austin’s Palm Door (remember this one?) on Friday, March 18th with A-Trak, Donnis, Cubic Zirconia, Danny Brown, The Suzan, AraabMuzik, Kingdom, Telephoned, Party Supplies and Nick Catchdubs on the decks between acts all night. It’s an official festival showcase, which means SXSW badges / wristbands get in free all night. (There will be some limited tix for sale at the door.)
The following weekend, we head down to Miami to once again tear the roof off our downtown home Grand Central, rolling with an insane roster of superfriends including A-Trak, Kenny Dope, Riva Starr, Just Blaze, Treasure Fingers, Congorock, LA Riots, Jokers Of The Scene, Nacho Lovers, Kingdom, Nick Catchdubs, Sammy Bananas and…special surprise guests? Stay tuned! It’s free with RSVP.
You know we have some bonus beat surprises up our sleeves for both weekends too. As always, keep checking this here site for the latest announcements and updates. Read More
If you’ve been following our Twitter, you know we’ve been working on an all-Fool’s Gold issue of Frank151 for the past few months. Well, we’re proud to say it’s 100% donezo – not to mention awesome – and as we gleefully await its arrival from the printing plant, we’re going to be dropping some teasers on the Frank site, like this video of Nick Catchdubs in their offices talking about what kind of treats the mag has in store. Stay tuned…
You already know Brooklyn-based Pomp&Clout (aka Ryan Staake) thanks to inventive music videos for the likes of The Suzan and Congorock. What you might not know, however, is that P&C has been curating a pretty awesome collection of DJ mixes as well.
Nick Catchdubs is the latest to contribute to the series, which offers selectors an opportunity to explore different musical styles beyond what they are typically known for. He put together this rap-centric “Catchy Bashment” dancehall mix. “People have really been pushing techno car alarm vibes in di dance lately – which is fine when done right, but I only need one Major Lazer, not thirty Minor ones. Crazy shit happens at lower BPMs too. Bugged out, thugged out, plain old smoked out – here’s my digital dancehall rap tape, I hope you enjoy it.”
