Muzi Signs With Fool’s Gold

We couldn’t be more excited to announce that South African producer, singer, songwriter, and DJ Muzi has joined the Fool’s Gold family. We were bumping his 2021 album Interblaktic all through the pandemic — an album that was praised for combining aspects of Afrofuturism alongside Afrobeats, hip-hop, kwaito, and 80s electronic music.
Muzi has received press in Spin, Forbes, Vice, and more. With four studio albums since his debut in 2016, Muzi continues to progress sonically with each album, combining his influences and creativity into cohesive projects that have captured the attention of some of the biggest artists in the world. Can’t wait to share his new Fool’s Gold output with the world.

“First few convos I had with A-trak were all about music, how we were fans of each other and about possibilities of us working together.
I’ve always been lucky at meeting people that care about this art thing we do. People that are obsessed music nerds like me and we could talk forever about bending sonics etc 😅 it just so happens that sometimes, these people are the same music heroes I used to see on tv and be inspired by when I was young.
It’s good to know that the Muzi indie ship keeps growing and it feels great to know that MUSIC got me here.
