Now on our fourth consecutive Labor Day, Fool’s Gold’s annual Day Off extravaganza is going to make history with our biggest lineup to date. Day Off unites the upper echelons of hip hop and electronic music in true New York style, including a rare appearance by hit makers Duck Sauce, FG’s own rap superstar Danny Brown, cult heroes A$AP Ferg and Migos and the critically acclaimed Run The Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike), alongside mysterious electro supergroup Unibros, label mainstays World’s Fair, GrandeMarshall, Party Supplies and Nick Catchdubs, streetwear dons #BEEN #TRILL, and more.
Having outgrown its previous Soho venue, the FREE bona fide festival is now planting its flag in the label’s own backyard at Williamsburg Park. If you’ve attended DAY OFF in previous years and turned up with the likes of Juicy J, French Montana, DJ Mehdi, Flatbush Zombies, Yelawolf and Chromeo, you’ll know this is the best way to end your summer (and the only way to enjoy a Monday).
The party doesn’t end there: the official NIGHT OFF afterparty will be just down the street at Brooklyn Bowl, starting at 11pm. Stay tuned for more announcements as Fool’s Gold expands the DAY OFF franchise to 3 more cities this fall!

Some people prefer the fish, others the house mafia, but for our money THE best Swedish export is none other than Carli, a true master of club music and all-around groovy dude. His second FG smash The Weekender is out now, and to celebrate he put together this megamix of exclusive edits and current DJ favorites for the Foolcast.
Subscribe to the Foolcast via iTunes or your favorite RSS reader at the main Foolcast page, where you can also download the mix directly (right click and save-as). Tracklist after the jump.
As premiered by Nylon, Oliver’s after-midnight anthem “Night Is On My Mind” gets an appropriately smoky, laser-fueled music video courtesy of director Greg Brunkalla (the mastermind behind Danny Brown’s “Grown Up.”) Crack a glowstick and strut to this!
Get “NIOMM” and more Oliver jams on their FG EP Mechanical (out now on picture disc vinyl, iTunes, Beatport and all other digital services), check them on tour this fall with Zedd and Alex Metric, and stay tuned for the official Mechanical remix EP, featuring crazy new versions of every song by some of dance music’s best.
The Fader just premiered World’s Fair’s first official video, “96 Knicks,” an off-season anthem for trash talkers, elbow throwers, and piss test failures worldwide. The Shomi Patwary-directed clip formally announces WF’s signing to Fool’s Gold as well as the Queens supergroup’s debut Bastards Of The Party, out September 3rd.
Following releases from the group’s individual members (including last year’s lauded mixtape Queens…Revisited from WF sub-group Children of the Night), Bastards Of The Party is the sound of New York’s best kept secret transforming into THE rap crew to watch, stealing your girl, smoking your weed, and stepping on your sneakers in the process. The world is theirs…
