For our annual FG x LTD+ holiday bash, we skipped the North Pole and went straight to Chiraq, flying Young Chop and friends to Westway to rock a set of high-grade turn-uppables. 100s was also in the building, hosting (and performing “1999” and “My Activator”) in a very festive head-to-toe red ensemble, and NYC’s finest Nick Catchdubs, Ni– Sky and DJ Wonder held down the 1s and 2s all night. Watch the official recap vid above and stay tuned for the next Fool’s Gold event very soon…
What happens when actor / entertainer / dionysian life coach Fabrizio Goldstein (aka The Fat Jew) puts his buttery touch on Party Supplies’ anthemic “Working Out”? A gleefully obscene epic about life, love, and jail that somehow finds emotional truth in absurd, wildly immature toilet humor. You’ll get a little verklempt.
Party Supplies’ acclaimed debut LP Tough Love (a Pitchfork favorite and one of Rolling Stone’s Best Dance Albums Of 2013) will be re-released on vinyl and CD this spring with bonus remixes by The Knocks, Lazerdisk and more. Meanwhile, the prolific Brooklyn duo continue to drop newly recorded tracks and demos on their Soundcloud and will be taking the stage at Irving Plaza this Friday (1/10) and Saturday (1/11) to perform tracks from their hit Blue Chipsmixtapes with Action Bronson.
