If you’ve been following this here blog you already know about Telephoned, the not-quite-covers project of FG producer/DJ Sammy Bananas and singin’ machine Maggie Horn. In the interest of spreading their joyful noise to the world at large, we’re dropping their debut self-titled EP this Tuesday (1/19) featuring tracks like their take on The Dream’s “Rockin That Thang,” which Pitchfork just featured on their daily Forkcast.
You can preview these EP tracks and much more on Telephoned’s new mixtape, Off The Hook, which you can download at RCRD LBL.

Check Kingdom (recently tipped by The Guardian as “big in 2010”) tomorrow night at the massive Dance party in Los Angeles. He’ll be out in Cali for a while longer – check additional LA dates and a quick trip to SF over on his Facebook. “Mind Reader” out 2/2!
The Scion Space will soon be hosting Installation 6, where they “challenged 10 artists to create non-narrative video installations that will eventually transform five unique exhibitions around the country.” One of these artists is none other than our esteemed art director Dust La Rock, whose animated short “Occult Of Personality” is featured in the project.
The opening reception is January 23rd in Los Angeles (Culver City to be specific) and Dust and all the other artists will be in attendance – go and check it out before it moves on to future locations in Austin, Wichita, Minneapolis and Brooklyn. Read More
