Stretch & Bobbito 20th Anniversary Party & Dust La Rock T-Shirt

Posted on Feb 8th, 2011

Our friends Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia are continuing to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their legendary radio show: first there was the reunion broadcast that set the internets on fire, now there’s a one-night-only event at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge this Thursday (2/10), co-hosted by the inimitable Lord Sear and promising a bevy of “very special surprise guests.” You don’t want to miss this one, buy your advance tickets now!

We’re proud to lend a hand in toasting Stretch and Bob with an exclusive Fool’s Gold tee, designed by Dust La Rock. Thursday’s show is going to be the first place you can purchase this shirt, which comes in bold black and orange on white, and an extra-limited heather grey colorway. Hip-hop must haves! Check them out after the jump. Read More

New Slow Roast: Senor Stereo Remixes

Posted on Jan 12th, 2011

Fresh from the Slow Roast grill comes this amazing package of Senor Stereo remixes, which you can pick up exclusively at Beatport (other digi retailers to follow). The disco-inspired trio of Danny Daze, Gigamesh and Joe Maz have been producing on their own (and in various combinations together) for years, but first hit the scene as SS this past summer with the release of their Unintentional EP – the tracks quickly became DJ favorites, so it’s no surprise that these brand-new remixes more than follow suit, with Treasure Fingers, Nadastrom, U-Tern, Salva, Craze and SS’s own Gigamesh all providing awesome, instantly-clubbable new versions. Cop em!

Be sure to check out what else Slow Roast has been up to lately on their blog, including free mixes from Codes and Atlantic Connection, and Kill The Noise’s collab with Deadmau5 acolyte Feed Me. ‘EVY CHUNE! (KTN is in NYC this Friday for a free warehouse party this Friday too.) Read More

For even more Kingdom, grab his Tiombe Lockhart-featuring “Remember” on Fool’s Gold Vol 1 as well as his excellent Night Slugs EP That Mystic (the NS crew has a comp of their own out now), and peep these recent official remixes for Rita Indiana and Sleigh Bells.
