Jokers Of The Scene Mix CN Tower

Posted on Sep 24th, 2009

JOTS recently whipped up a soundtrack mix for the upcoming Bright Lights Big City exhibit by Ryan Stec, their friend and longtime video maestro at the Disorganised parties in Ottawa (you may have seen his work on the chopped-up Muscles clip for JOTS’ remix of “The Lake”).

On October 3rd, Ryan’s turning Toronto’s CN Tower into “the worlds largest LED lighting installation. The CN Tower is going to make one mighty strobe light!” The lighting is synched up to the new JOTS mix (and six new tracks from If Then Do), which will be simulcast all night on CIUT Radio 89.5FM. Full info up here, this one is not to be missed!

Alexander Robotnick In London This Sat

Posted on Sep 24th, 2009

One of the highlights of our past month was checking out Alexander Robotnick play a rare DJ set here in NYC. It was an expert mix of jams new and old, and we highly recommend that you roll through when he comes to your town.

Conveniently, London gets their chance this weekend, when Robotnick rocks Cargo on Saturday (9.26) alongside John Morales, Magistrates, the Chap, and our buds in Neon Indian. It’s a pay-what-you-want gig, with half the profits going to Amnesty International. Disco meets do-goodery? Yes please! Full info at AR’s “Obsession For The Disco Freaks” out now on iTunes, Beatport and good ol vinyl.
