A helicopter couldn’t stop DAY OFF! We lost our original venue a few hours before showtime, but the squad made it happen in Queens for one of our most unforgettable shows yet. Migos, A-Trak and Friends (including MadeinTYO, A.Chal, Wiki and more), Lil Yachty, Juelz Santana, Gaslamp Killer, Dave East, Nick Catchdubs, Meyhem Lauren, Leaf, Eauxzown and more put it down all day long. (Shout out to our Brunch Bounce and TMWRK fam too!)

DAY OFF NYC is tomorrow! Don’t get caught without tickets for Migos, Juelz Santana, A-Trak & Friends, Lil Yachty and many, many, MANY more! Peep the set times below and get the last remaining tix at fgdayoff.com. We’ll see you on the east side at the 34th St Heliport, rain or shine!
Leaf, Lil Yachty, and a gang of girlfriends from her MBM (Magnet Bitch Movement) crew bounce through a technicolor NYC in the new video for “Nada” (directed by Matt Cohen / Itsbongoboy®). It’s more than just a night out… as Leaf puts it, “this video is about all types of women in New York coming together. You don’t have to be any specific type of girl to be part of MBM. Just be independent – ‘a woman who can provide,’ as Yachty states – and haters can’t say anything to you.” Pull up the jeep and join them!
Leaf continues to make moves while her haters do “Nada.” The young Fool’s Gold / RPM MSC starlet continues to boss up with single after single, this time flexing with ATL’s Lil Yachty on a melodically icy, Henny-smooth collaboration. Get on this wave early…
London producer TroyBoi flipped the beat world upside down with awesomely wonky original tracks, collabs with Flosstradamus and Diplo, and official remixes that have blasted pop royalty from Missy Elliot to Zayn into outer space. Fool’s Gold’s own Leaf is the latest artist to get the TroyBoi treatment; bump his chopped up, slow-n-low take on “Money” now, and check Leaf live at Fool’s Gold DAY OFF in New York 8/20.
Brooklyn’s own Fool’s Gold Records takes their annual DAY OFF extravaganza cross country once again, closing out this year’s series of festival events with an all-day party on Sunday, September 25th at Shrine LA Outdoors.
Mac Miller headlines his first Los Angeles show of the year alongside G.O.O.D. Music president (and Clipse legend) Pusha T and FG’s own A-Trak, who’s hitting the decks with an “…and friends” guestlist that always amazes. DAY OFF LA will also feature upstart ATL phenom MADEINTYO, Fool’s Gold’s buzzy young R&B star Black Atlass, and the label’s resident DJ killers Madeaux, Kittens and Nick Catchdubs. And of course, you know it wouldn’t be a DAY OFF without a gang of surprises on deck…
This LA event caps a massive summer of DAY OFF shows for Fool’s Gold, including a New York event at the 34th St Helipad on 8/20 headlined by Migos and Juelz Santana, and a Miami blowout at Soho Studios on 9/17 with Joey Bada$$ and Hudson Mohawke topping a full day of performances from FG signees and some of the world’s most exciting new DJs and MCs. Advance tickets for all three DAY OFF events are available now at fgdayoff.com.
Check out last year’s recap here & more flyers after the jump:
Fool’s Gold’s annual DAY OFF is an end-of-summer institution. For seven years running, the all-day event has become a celebration of everything the beloved, genre-crossing Brooklyn label stands for— a musical slip ’n slide, connecting the city’s livest, most stylish fans and and a Who’s Who of new-school legends. DAY OFF is a scene in the truest sense of the word, a festival programmed like your favorite DJ set.
Who’s rocking the 2016 edition? Atlanta’s royalty Migos and rap anarchist Lil Yachty. Two generations of Harlem kings in Dipset legend Juelz Santana and rising star Dave East. FG chief A-Trak setting it off as a maestro behind the decks (and a conductor of special guests like none other), and fellow turntablist Gaslamp Killer providing his signature psychedelic bass. With label familia Nick Catchdubs, Meyhem Lauren, Leaf and more keeping the party going all day long, it’s another can’t-miss Fool’s Gold event.
It goes down on Saturday, August 20th in Brooklyn. Tickets for FGDO NY are available now at fgdayoff.com — earlybird tickets for FGDO Miami (9/17) and Los Angeles (9/25) go on sale this Friday at 1pm EST.
Leaf’s uniquely stylish, powerfully sexy takeover of the rap game continues with uptempo jam “Money.” Produced by Leaf and LuiDiamonds (of ATL’s Awful crew), she follows up last month’s “Ride” single by showing off a new, profanely catchy side of her Magnet Bitch Movement. Get paid, play loud, and stay tuned for lots more new Leaf this year on Fool’s Gold. Listen to “Money” here!
Like we always do at this time! Team FG going going back back to Austin this month to eat tacos and move bodies. Catch us at the annual Fool’s Gold showcase, going down Thursday, 3/17 at Vulcan Gas Co, presented by Vibes. It’s free with RSVP at lndrnrs.com!
Fresh off a sold-out tour with Alessia Cara, Leaf is back with her first new music of 2016. But don’t get it twisted, there’s nothing pop or plastic about this one: “Ride” features Leaf as uncut and uncompromising as ever (“Damn girl you so nasty… love it how you call me daddy…”). Do what she says, and “Ride” this one ‘till the wheels fall off. Listen to “Ride” now.
