I’m about to board a flight to Australia, where I’ll be performing at the Good Vibrations festival in 4 cities, both as A-Trak & Kid Sister and with Kanyeezy. I think it’s my 8th or 9th time in Australia. I’ve been there more than France, for some reason. Read More
UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ? VROOOO VROOOOO? CHHHHK wiggledywiggldy CKKKKKKKKKKKRRRRKKKKK?!?!? Yep, they got all that and more. Our dudes in MSTRKRFT are hitting the road with Fool’s Gold’s own LA Riots and distorto disco brothers in arms the Bloody Beetroots and Lazaro Casanova. The trek kicks off on 2/26 in Seattle and goes all the way through SXSW and the Winter Music Conference in March. Some stops on the tour will be MSTRKRFT-only affairs (take that, vowels!) but to help you out with your revelry plans, we copied and pasted all the LA Riots dates after the jump. BAM! Read More
Like we mentioned earlier, indie club hit “Beeper” is getting re-released as the lead single for Count and Sinden’s album on Domino Records, complete with new verses from Kid Sister, not to mention Young Josh on hook duties. At around 4am last night (erm…this morning?) shooting wrapped for the “Beeper” video in Chicago, directed by tite bros Joey Garfield and Joey Patel for Ghost Robot. We’ll have some YouTubes from the set soon, so stay tuned for footage of DJ Autobot rocking a fierce Bluetooth headset, hot dogs, lots and lotsa juking, and a certain someone (currently writing this blog post) cameo-ing as a record store clerk…

It’s a complete coincidence that Kid Sister and I were booked to perform at New York and LA’s Museums of Natural History on consecutive weekends. The events were unrelated, we’re not on a museum tour or anything.
Both turned out to be awesome in their own way. You already saw what the New York one was like last week… Kiiiinda crazy, with the surprise appearance of a fur-clad Kanyeezy. That one was in the planetarium, so it was very much a multi-media themed room. The LA show this weekend was a lot more like what you’d expect to see in a museum of natural history: a giant dinosaur skeleton when you walk in and a bunch of displays of impeccably preserved yaks, bisons, sea lions (those things are big!) and other cuddly creatures in simulated home habitat backdrops. How many times did I yell “stegosaurus!” on the mic during my set? One may never know. Read More
