Shash’U “Street X” EP
Posted on Dec 11th, 2017
Even in a city where so many young producers are reinventing beats, Shash’U is Montreal’s funkiest resident, standing out with a diverse approach (he’s as adept with trap bass as he is ‘80s boogie synths) and an unparalleled energy – appropriate for someone who’s a competitive dancer himself! Street X showcases a dark, digital spin on Shash’U’s signature sound, building on his Thru Da Night and PWRFNK EPs with an exciting, electrifying new power. Listen now!

B.I.C. “Drippin Sauce”
Posted on Nov 7th, 2017
B.I.C. spill manic Uptown charisma all over “Drippin Sauce.” The supercharged track (and it’s deranged cable box music video) is the first tease from FTW, the group’s Nick Catchdubs-produced EP dropping early next year. Yesus, Pete, Ill Spills, and Izzy-Oz have been a dependably turnt presence on the New York underground since their Funkmaster Flex approved debut “Yo Soy Widdit,” but “Drippin Sauce” takes their appeal well beyond the city limits, blasting uncut Bronx energy to the rest of the known (and unknown) universe. Listen now!
Sammy Bananas ft. BOSCO & LaDonnis “Gitcha Gitcha”
Posted on Oct 31st, 2017
Sammy Bananas brings the funk on new single “Gitcha Gitcha” featuring BOSCO and LaDonnis. It’s a perfect follow up to the Sammy-produced “Castles” from BOSCO’s b. project, conjuring classic ‘80s bump with new-school finesse. After the house hijinks of “21” (and its bonkers music video), the slow-n-low “Gitcha Gitcha” puts Sammy B’s versatility on full display, setting the tone for even more singles (and a debut artist LP!) from this Brooklyn producer in 2018.

Madaeux is joined by R&B fashionista Black Atlass (“Fashion’s Music Crush” – LA Times) and synth-pop songstress Class Actress, who bring the song to life with their effortless vocal touch. Listen now!
