It’ll get you in the mood for their first live show of the year, going down at Brooklyn’s Glasslands on Sunday, January 29th (get advance tickets here) and set the stage for their brand new EP of originals, Ring Ring, dropping on Valentine’s Day, 2/14. Jackie Chain x Nick Catchdubs "After Hours" Mixtape Out 2/7

Get ready to get blazed with Alabama bad boy Jackie Chain and our own Nick Catchdubs when their After Hours mixtape hits on 2/7. You may have already heard the late night bleeps of “Molly” and “Night Is Young” (featuring Freddie Gibbs and fellow FG representative Maggie Horn of Telephoned), but the final project has even more in store. To hear Catchdini tell it:

“I went into the tape thinking that we would just record a bunch of stuff like “Molly” over more electronic production, but what ended up coming together over the months ended up feeling way more like Jackie’s own signature sound: super melodic and diverse music to ride to. G shit, country shit… it left me free to just pick and chose the stuff I liked from a DJ standpoint and connect the dots.”

“We love cover songs, so its natural that we love the holiday season. This year we’re overjoyed to give you the gift of our holiday EP, A Very Telephoned Christmas, which presents 3 xmas favs in a covered-up Ttelephoned stylee. We’re excited about doing something a bit different with the classics, but also looking forward to finally having some music our moms will like.”

Telephoned "Switchboard" Party Back 6/7 + Live Podcast From DJ Wonder

Sammy and Maggie of Telephoned came up with something really special with their “Switchboard” events, which take the cover song / sample flipping vibe of their mixtapes and applies it to a club night. It’s not your average party, which is what has made the three to date so fun and memorable. They return for a fourth round on Tuesday, June 7th at Sargent in the Hotel Chantelle basement, accompanied by guests Tanlines (a “DJ & guitar set”) and dancehall heroine Queen Majesty. Don’t miss it!

To get you in the mood, Telephoned have dropped a new volume of their podcast series, featuring a live set by DJ Wonder, recorded at the last party. He took their instructions to “play some covers and stuff” and turned it into a hour-long journey through quiet storm miami bass, 80s re-works, even an entire mini set of Prince covers.
