LA Riots have a fresh mix up for the dog days of July, featuring some new joints (A-Trak and Laidback Luke!) and vintage favorites. Quoth Daniel: “We were asked to do a mix for The Crystal Method’s Radio show on Indie 103.1 but I went a bit too housey/progressive with it towards the end and decided to make a new one for them.. this is the version that isnt going to air. After the show airs I will post up the other version.. which is straight m-u-r-d-e-r!” Download the mix here, and check out the tracklisting after the jump. Read More

While Kid Sister was away at the BET Awards (pics on her MySpace) and performing at Glastonbury, we figured it was time to drop this vinyl-only remix EP, featuring brand new versions of “Control” by JFK of MSTRKRFT and our own LA Riots, as well as “Pro Nails” mixes by SMD (aka Simian Mobile Disco) and DJ Gant-Man. You can purchase it at Turntable Lab and fine vinyl emporiums worldwide. But that wasn’t enough! We didn’t want to leave our record player-less friends high and dry, so we decided to give away promo mp3s on our RCRD LBL page, starting with JFK’s “Control.” Grab it here and stay tuned for more!

Now that A-Trak’s Running Man mix is out this week on iTunes in its full 45-minute workout format, we can direct you to these stand-alone nuggets: single “Say Woah,” and the original version of “Mastered” featuring Lupe Fiasco (who couldn’t be cleared and ended up replaced by Kid Cudi on the final Original Run version).

Sammy live @ LAX
I’m done with the tour! I decided to wait until the end to provide the wrap-up, but hopefully people will actually read this, because its kind of long! I’ll give a brief digest to start out so you know what your getting into:
- Summer of Sammy Tour = Serial Massacre i.e. Raging Success
- Cameos from Ayres, Alan and Eh’Life
- Run ins with border patrols, bikes and BEPs
- Triumphs of Celtics, Cesars and Cruisers
- Chilling with Diamonds, Daniels and Debonairs
- A mix classic gets re-released, this time for free
I’m gonna start off by saying that the main (if only) reason that I’m writing this blog is so that Certified Max can read it. I’m gonna lay this bro-love right out there in the open; Max and I have had some amazing times DJing around North America and I thought of him on innumerable occasions on this run. Hopefully at least he will read the whole thing!

has two more dates left on his epic Summer Of Sammy trek, and promises a full tour diary as soon as he’s done, complete with tales of debauchery and Black Eyed Pea encounters (dude is a Kid Cudi fan, apparently!). Meanwhile, you can check Sammy in Chicago tonight (6.19) at Debonair Social Club and in Milwuakee on Saturday (6.21) at MOCT, and download the Summer Of Sammy mixtape
if you haven’t already bowed down to it’s grandeur. “Rhythm Of The Night,” people!

Check out some snips from Trizzy’s forthcoming (as in “out next Tuesday”) Nike+ mix over at The FADER blog. It includes first single “Say Woah,” a Kid Cudi guest-spot, and a lot of untz untz and beep beep.
