The first full-length albums on FG are available for download today on iTunes and everywhere else fine digital music is sold. Stop what you’re doing and grab Fool’s Gold Vol 1 (featuring new music from the whole fam) and Golden Week For The Poco Poco Beat this second!
Fellow NY indie Dutty Artz (helmed by DJ Rupture and Matt Shadetek) is gearing up to release their New York Tropical comp, a collection of new tunes from like-minded beatheads and musical futurists – among them Kingdom, who remixes DA’s Carribean chanteuse Rita Indiana’s “Los Poderes” with magical results. Check for it November 9th, and preview the compilation with this free collection of .m4r ringtones (!!!) for your iPhone, etc.
Come celebrate three years of Fool’s Gold next weekend as we close out the Pitchfork #Offline festival at Brooklyn Bowl with an evening of anniversary revelry starring our friends and fam new and old: A-Trak, Treasure Fingers, Donnis, CyHi Da Prynce, The Suzan, Kingdom and even Araabmuzik on the MPC. Not to be missed!
It all goes down on Saturday, October 23rd – just in time for the release of the compilation album and The Suzan’s Golden Week For The Poco Poco Beat two days later – and all info on tickets (just $10!) and the rest of the fest can be found on the #Offline website.
As you may have seen on Pitchfork today, our first-ever compilation LP, Fool’s Gold Vol 1 is making its way to you fine people of planet Earth on October 25th (same day as The Suzan LP – they both got bumped to Monday cause of Taylor Swift. Good looking out ma!)
The 14 new tracks on Fool’s Gold Vol 1 are a 3-D look at where FG has been and where we’re going next. “Ray Ban Vision,” A-Trak’s robot-rocking collab with G.O.O.D. Music upstart CyHi Da Prynce, sits comfortably next to Treasure Fingers’ joyous dance pop throwback “Keep Up” and The Suzan’s rollicking cover of Miike Snow’s “Animal,” along with new tracks from other exciting, constantly-evolving talents like Kingdom, Flosstradamus, and even Lil B, who teases his forthcoming EP with the #based bass of “Freeze.”
You will be able to download Vol 1 from all fine music retailers, as well as purchase a limited-edition CD copy (and other FG treats) at Opening Ceremony boutiques worldwide. We are immensely proud to share these new tracks from our family with all of you!

Speaker-shredding rock duo Sleigh Bells and dancefloor futurist Kingdom might not seem like the most natural pairing in the world. Yet once again, our regal friend defies expectations in the most excellent of ways with his new, chopped up remix of SB’s “Tell Em,” which RCRD LBL dropped as an exclusive today. Float with the bass…
If you need more Kingdom in your life (and frankly, who doesn’t?) grab his That Mystic EP which just saw vinyl release, and check for upcoming shows on his blog including a Halloween edition of the Club Infinity party in NYC.
Kingdom’s monthly Club Infinity bash with Dre Skull and pals is back this Saturday (Sep. 18th) at Santos Party Haus, featuring guest sets from Dubbel Dutch and Dipset’s MPC monster araabMUZIK. Not to be missed, but in case you need further convincing (shame on you!) Kingdom has dropped some mp3 treats as a taste of what the evening has in store.
Check Kingdom (with some Dr Dre worthy logo blurring!) being Q&Aed by Blu Jemz for Scion Radio. While you’re at it, peep the nice things Pitchfork and Resident Advisor just had to say about his That Mystic EP.
Do not sleep people! This Sunday we are throwing a massive FREE bash down at the Jelly Pool Party in Brooklyn, featuring live-as-hell performances from Chromeo, Kid Sister, The Suzan and Telephoned, DJ sets from Treasure Fingers and Kingdom, a fully stocked FG merch booth and more!
Get there early, doors open at 2pm and it will hit capacity quickly. Hit the jump for set times and info about the afterparty at Brooklyn Bowl (also free), where Nick Catchdubs and Vin Sol will be cuttin them records. Read More
You’ve already seen us shouting out U Street Music Hall, the new club opened earlier this year in Washington DC by our pal Tittsworth and friends. But this week we have even more reason to big them up, since FG’s Kingdom and LA Riots will be playing there tonight (free with Facebook RSVP) and Saturday, respectively. Capitol critters, don’t miss out!
