Earmilk just dropped a new Q&A with FG co-founder and party man par excellence Nick Catchdubs. They talk musical roots and more, and also give away The Bubblegum EP, a new batch of bootlegs by Catchy and fellow Brooklynite 2Beeps, who call it “SO SO DEF GLOWSTICK ALLSTARS. EDM JEEP BEATS. TOP 40 RAVE-N-B.” If that’s not enough, Earmilk is also giving away passes to next weekend’s Electric Zoo festival in NYC, featuring a full Fool’s Gold Clubhouse stage of awesomeness. Go win!

Now on our fourth consecutive Labor Day, Fool’s Gold’s annual Day Off extravaganza is going to make history with our biggest lineup to date. Day Off unites the upper echelons of hip hop and electronic music in true New York style, including a rare appearance by hit makers Duck Sauce, FG’s own rap superstar Danny Brown, cult heroes A$AP Ferg and Migos and the critically acclaimed Run The Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike), alongside mysterious electro supergroup Unibros, label mainstays World’s Fair, GrandeMarshall, Party Supplies and Nick Catchdubs, streetwear dons #BEEN #TRILL, and more.
Having outgrown its previous Soho venue, the FREE bona fide festival is now planting its flag in the label’s own backyard at Williamsburg Park. If you’ve attended DAY OFF in previous years and turned up with the likes of Juicy J, French Montana, DJ Mehdi, Flatbush Zombies, Yelawolf and Chromeo, you’ll know this is the best way to end your summer (and the only way to enjoy a Monday).
The party doesn’t end there: the official NIGHT OFF afterparty will be just down the street at Brooklyn Bowl, starting at 11pm. Stay tuned for more announcements as Fool’s Gold expands the DAY OFF franchise to 3 more cities this fall!
This Saturday we’ll be hitting up Queens for the latest edition of MoMA PS1’s long running Warm Up series. The Fool’s Gold Festival Stage kicked off a new year of all-singing, all-dancing partytimes deep in the woods of Michigan. FG’s contribution to the Electric Forest featured A-Trak, Danny Brown, Flosstradamus, Oliver, Just Blaze, Craze, Nick Catchdubs, Treasure Fingers and Party Supplies on the same stage, an all-day display of awesomeness captured in the video above.
Fool’s Gold co-founder Nick Catchdubs has a party pedigree that’s unmatched, rocking clubs, festivals, radio and mixtapes for years, all while holding down one of the world’s most influential independent record labels (AHEM!)
Nick’s debut original release, “Bizness” (out 7/23), is a collaboration with trailblazing Bay Area MCs IAMSU! and Jay Ant that synthesizes a lifetime of DJ know-how into two and a half minutes of foul-mouthed robot funk. Uptempo, laser-fueled remixes from Astronomar and ETC!ETC! crank the rave knob to 11, and the whole thing sets the stage for Nick’s upcoming album Smoke Machine, a collection of even more surprise collaborations, unconventional club bangers, and joyously bugged-out vibes.
Come celebrate the “Bizness” release at The Wall on Friday, 7/26 with sets from Nick, DJ Wonder (Shade45) and Kitty Cash (Kilo Kish’s DJ). It’s free with RSVP, we’ll check you there… Read More
