So in place of a cake, we’ll celebrate with twelve tracks on compact disc, along with the More Smoke remix EP as a bonus, extra illustrations from cover artist Niv Bavarsky, and some shout-outs and hidden messages. Get your copy now at the FG store, and geek on some liner notes while you’re at it! Read More

Northern Cali king IAMSU has been doing his thing for a minute as an innovative producer/MC and lynchpin of the HBK Gang. He officially dropped into the Fool’s Gold orbit when he was featured on Nick Catchdubs’ “Bizness” single, which, conveniently enough, is featured on this new mix from another West Coast homie of ours! Salva put together a collection of IAMSU/HBK bangers in celebration of the upcoming Check Yo Ponytail show this Friday (10/18) at the Echoplex in LA featuring IAMSU, Sage The Gemini and more. Fellow FG fam 100s and Nick Hook pop up on the tracklist too… what are you waiting for?
FG co-founder Nick Catchdubs busts out with “Bizness,” featuring trailblazing Bay Area MCs IAMSU! and Jay Ant, and ravey remixes from Astronomar and ETC!ETC! Get it now on iTunes, Beatport and everywhere else fine digital music is sold, and stay tuned for more on Nick’s upcoming Smoke Machine LP.
Nick partnered with alt comedy network JASH for the “Business” music video. Directed by Scott Jacobson and starring a hysterical cast from The Mighty Boosh, Strangers With Candy, Nathan For You and Bob’s Burgers, this office space visit takes rap video absurdity to awesome new heights. Your PowerPoint presentation will never be the same…
Still going through oddball cuts and personal favorites from last year that haven’t gotten much burn on the internets. I will post them and y’all will deal with it! (Full zip of today’s nugs here.) Read More
The Fader just premiered a new from Donnis’ new Break Hundreds & Hearts EP (out 8/28!) an uptempo slapper called “Absolutely,” featuring Bay Area upstarts IAMSU and Jay Ant. Check it out and stay tuned for the video, filmed on location in SF while the fam was in town for the Black Scale x Fool’s Gold release party. Yee!
For more BH&H jams from Donnis, check out the “Hello Kitty” single, video and Cid Rim remix.
You’ve probably heard IAMSU without even knowing it: he’s the producer responsible for the slapping beat on “Up” by LoveRance (and on NYC radio, 50 Cent). He’s also a solo artist in his own right, and on his excellent new mixtape KILT he teams up with fellow producer/MC (and longtime FG fam) Trackademicks for the track “Clothes Shows And Afros.” Download the whole thing here.
