William Kiss, DJ Gant-Man – Juke Dat

Posted on Aug 18th, 2026 in Releases by Mr. Goldbar

William Kiss has been unstoppable lately, hitting a Beatport number 1 alongside his buds Luke Alessi and Jordan Brando, and with steady support from Peggy Gou & DJ Tennis. He’s also no stranger to the Fool’s Gold fam, having played our A-Trak & Friends LA party earlier this year. On “Juke Dat” the Australian beat king puts his spin on a Chicago Juke classic by DJ Gant-Man, originally released on FG over 15 years ago. Gant’s instructions are simple, and Will’s beat is irresistible.

Brothers Macklovitch & DRAMA – Lots of Love

Posted on Apr 24th, 2026 in Releases by Mr. Goldbar

Brothers Macklovitch, the collaborative project of actual siblings A-Trak and Dave 1 (from Chromeo), charmed everyone over the last couple years with their charismatic, soulful DJ sets on both sides of the pond (a certain Balearic island has taken a liking to the boys), Apple Music’s legendary Beats In Space, Rinse FM as well as Glitterbox Radio. They held off on new music for a while, but now there’s a bunch of tracks in the chamber. Following last fall’s club banger “Bump” with Mike Dunn and Tony Romera, the duo’s teeing up a new release ahead of their Do Lab set at Coachella. Enter “Lots of Love”, a sunny, infectious house jam featuring the acclaimed Chicago duo DRAMA. Singer Via Rosa’s vocals glide over the track’s rolling bassline, while synth flourishes shimmer throughout. And if you’re noticing a certain UK swing, that’s because the unstoppable MPH stepped in on co-production.

Chris Crack – Too Late To Start To Start Following The Rules Now

Posted on Feb 17th, 2026 in Releases by Mr. Goldbar

Known for his sharp punchlines and hilarious song titles, Chicago’s Chris Crack continues to prove he can craft albums with the best of them on Too Late To Start Following The Rules Now. His rolodex reaches further than before on this Fool’s Gold-backed effort, procuring beats from Hudson Mohawke and Madlib and rounding up Midwestern features from Sir Michael Rocks, Shawnna (rare!) and Bruiser Wolf. Chris’ mischievous, high-pitched flows sound perfectly at home whether he’s rocking over laidback soul loops or demented speaker knockers. Perhaps it’s this versatility, and the fact that it never feels forced, that is most impressive with this album.

As Chris Crack continues to tease his 2nd official Fool’s Gold album, the Chicago spitter waves his hometown flag on “Don’t Wear Your PFP Outfit On The First Link” by calling in a very rare verse from hometown hero Shawnna. The legend, who first got known on DTP classics, easily drips Midwestern swag on this hazy track.

Crimewave – SCENES

Posted on Nov 7th, 2025 in Releases by Mr. Goldbar

On the surface, Crimewave’s SCENES plays as a conceptual dance record about Northern UK nightclubs. Its true fixation lies in the subtle criminal acts and misdemeanours that go almost unnoticed within these spaces – a vision brought vividly to life under the production of Rainy Miller.

The project is conceived as a continuous DJ set, with each track bleeding seamlessly into the next. Glitched-out guitars, strobing chords and fractured breaks are utilised to convey both the euphoria of the dance floor, and the half-seen acts of criminality lurking in the club’s grimy corners.
