Our buddy Dillon Francis is hitting FG’s hometown this weekend for two big shows at Webster Hall. Saturday 1/19 with GTA (19+), and Sunday 1/20 with Gent & Jawns and Anamanaguchi (16+). Cop your advance tix and come party! Get in the mood with Dil’s A-Trak collab “Money Makin,” available in original and remixed form everywhere fine digital music is sold, as well as on snazzy split color vinyl from the FG webstore.
Last fall, A-Trak, Flosstradamus and Donnis hit the road for our first ever Fool’s Gold House Party Tour. Check out Noisey’s recapvideos (and peep thesephotogalleries from our bud Kirill Was Here) to see all the madness that went down in basements, frats, and bowling alleys across America. Read More
Late last night, Just Blaze took to Soundcloud in a celebratory mood (happy birthday!) to debut a dance track he’s been playing at our parties: a nice bit of UNTZ built around the indelible piano riff from his “Exhibit A” beat for Jay Electronica. It’s not on his forthcoming Fool’s Gold EP, but a teaser of what to expect from it… and one of many moods you can expect Just to get into while on tour with Baauer this month and next, as they shake bodies and melt faces across North America. Tour dates after the jump.
Check this recap vid to see what went down at Basel Castle this past December during Miami’s Art Basel. Alongside performances from Trinidad Jame$, Purity Ring, Twin Shadown and others, we had our own FG stage with Chromeo’s Dave 1, Oliver, Nick Catchdubs and surprise guest LA Riots on the decks and Donnis MCing (bringing out Reese and the Two9 crew for even more ATL vibes).
Flosstradamus tackle the apocalypse head on… with some SICK AF DRIFT RACING. Watch their new vid for “Underground” at x.flosstradamus.com now – and check their two sold-out shows at the Metro in Chicago this weekend (if you were lucky enough to snag tickets) and at BANG NYE in Detroit with Skrillex and Boys Noize and at Decadence NYE in Denver.

This Wednesday (12/5) we’re hosting an event in the Fool’s Gold store for DJs Against Climate Change, the non profit organization founded by Sammy Bananas. Now entering it’s 5th year of helping DJs offset the environmentally damaging carbon emissions produced from their airplane travel, the DJACC uses artists’ cultural influence to show how everyone can take responsibility for their impact on Climate Change.
Find out more (and donate!) at indiegogo.com/DJACC, and come thru the store this Wednesday, where Sammy will break down ways to combat climate change in person while Nick Catchdubs, Star Eyes (Trouble & Bass) and DJ Ayres (The Rub) play tunes from 6-9pm. We’ll also have complimentary refreshments from our friends at Bushmills. Hang and learn! Read More
Next Saturday (12/8) we head down to Art Basel in Miami to rock the Basel Castle alongside Purity Ring, Twin Shadow, Brenmar, Teengirl Fantasy, Trinidad Jame$ and more! Come party with Oliver, Nick Catchdubs, Donnis and a surprise guest from the fam… full info and details at baselcastle.com.
Telephoned go grunge with Singles, their new free EP inspired by the Cameron Crowe film (and iconic soundtrack) of the same name. Download the whole thing and check Sammy and Maggie as they flip Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, Screaming Trees and Jimi Hendrix (hey, it’s Seattle!) over repurposed Ryan Hemsworth beats, turning these four rockers into moody, bittersweet r&b slow jams in the process.
Tomorrow (11/29) celebrate with Telephoned at Public Assembly in Williamsburg, where they’ll be performing live alongside Hot Sugar (who has a fun free EP of his own out now) and DJ sets from Jubilee. Info here and flyer after the jump!
