This past Friday we pulled down the window paper, threw open the doors, and let the world see what the FG crew has been working on for months: 536 Metropolitan, our brand spanking new retail store in Brooklyn. We’re open Monday-Saturday from noon until 6pm, happily serving all your Fool’s Gold music, gear and general swag-related needs. Read More
Frank151 caught up with Fool’s Gold art director Dust La Rock and Throbbing Gristle / Psychic TV founder Genesis Breyer P-Orridge at the opening of Dust’s PTV-inspired BK Scum exhibit. See what they had to say about artistic integrity and more, and be sure to check out the Fool’s Gold chapter of Frank151 if you haven’t already…
Last weekend the fam trekked out to California for the opening of Dust La Rock’s “Joking Victim” at LA’s HVW8 Gallery, featuring music by Jokers Of The Scene and multimedia collaborations with JK5, Kareem Black, Angela Boatwright and Bruce LaBruce. You can now check out photos from the opening and the entire exhibition at the HVW8 website, as well as purchase prints from the show at the gallery store.
There you’ll also find the limited edition 7-inch single of JOTS “Joking Victim,” featuring an ambient “Laughter Death” mix of their show-inspiring title track, as well as Vin Sol’s darkly groovy “Trocadero Mix,” both making their wax debut. There’s only 100 signed and numbered copies of this bad boy, so grab it while you can! The “Laughter Death” mix also scores one of the pieces in the show, a video collaboration between Dust La Rock and Kareem Black, which you can check after the jump.
Jokers Of The Scene, Nick Catchdubs and Vin Sol will be getting groovy all evening (with bud Paul Devro kicking it all off early) and the whole shebang is FREE with RSVP at danceright.net. See you there…
After weeks and weeks of blood, sweat and InDesign, the Fool’s Gold chapter of Frank151 is out! You can snag physical copies soon at parties and select retail spots around the world (and via subscription, of course). But since the internet streets can’t wait, you can peep a downloadable PDF and flippable web mag version of the entire issue right here. What’s inside you ask? Read More

Dust La Rock has shaped the visual identity of Fool’s Gold and our family of artists from the very beginning. And if you’ve been paying attention, you know his own musical tastes and personal interests are quite varied and esoteric – so it’s only natural that for his latest project, Dust has tapped into his fascination with the work of experimental sound collective and multimedia pioneers Psychic TV to create an exhibition of new works entitled B.K. Scum. Read More
